July 25: Day of Honorable Mentions
Ancient Rome: Furinalia
Ancient Inca: Holiday to Illapa
Native American: Hunting ceremony to channel Kana'ti
Furinalia is a festival to honor the goddess Furrina, who is the goddess of robbers.
Illapa is the god of thunder, and is said to keep the Milky Way in a jug, and pour it out to create rain. In the ceremony people would throw jugs of water into the air.
Kana'ti was known as the “lucky hunter,” and hunters would go into trances to try and contact him so that they may hunt and bring back much food.
