   Hindu: Ganesh Charturthi Day 7 Ancient Egypt: First day of Thoth. Mayan: Praying to Akna Thoth is the first day of the Egyptian Calendar, and also a god.  Thoth is the heart and tongue of Ra, and spreads Ra’s will to the land. 
   Akna was a goddess of fertility, and mothers would pray to her and give offerings of milk to make sure that their baby would be healthy.
