Maya: An offering to Camazotz, to please his stomache.
Inca: Day of Kon
Norse: Day of wandering of Jötunn
Egyptian: Market day (Memphis)
Camazotz was a bat god, and is generally associated with sacrifice. He ate the head of Hunahpu, and Xbalanque was forced to carve another head out of a squash.
Kon was a god of rain and wind from the south. He is the son of Inti and Mama Quilla.
On this day, Jötunn is said to roam the Earth, eating those unaware.
Today is market day for all those near the city of Memphis. Memphis was located near the Delta, so it was rich in food. It would often trade with the more mineral rich areas of Egypt.
