Rumi
Spring is upon us and we're gonna get festive! March 20 is the first day of spring and we will celebrate in the Community Garden @ 4:00st by planting trees on the western slope of the Community Garden to continue the establishment of our forest garden. Bring your seeds, seedlings, and saplings that you want to grow as a shared treasure of the community. We especially love fruit trees, but we are by no means limited to just fruits and nuts. Lets make it beautiful, tasty, and fun! Some ideas have been already shared on the Community Garden Plant List. Anyone who wants to work on their personal plot is encouraged to come for our festival. It will be a great time to talk gardening with others and borrow each others tools and resources. Don't forget to use the Community Garden logs if you want to reap what you sow. With the coming of spring, we start another round of the Grow Your Own contest. Those who started mid-winter should continue their work and photography and now is a great time of year to join the pool of gardeners. Next full moon is in about a week, so have your cameras ready. Provided we have time and participants, there will be poetry and story contests during the festival with rewards from the Community Garden treasury. I also have another contest in mind, involving recipe-making, so maybe study up on your cauldron scripting and bring a tea or cake recipe book. See you all in the garden!
