Some 'modal' programming nuisances

After changing the way triggers work, a number of things now give you an alert message that you can't do anything about except move the mouse there and click OK.

These include skills given when collecting resources and use of some special tools - in particular my pickle-making jar.

I'd much rather have this stuff show up in chat (for skills, it should be on the same line as the resource result) and not have to do this extra work.
