Progenitor Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 If the restriction of 5 members per alliance is still in place, there's going to be a lot of alliances running about, as all of them are going to fill up fast. So, is there any estabilished alliances out there that have any room? Is the player with the highest Honor score rules the Alliance still in affect? As I understand it, if when you are invited by the leader, he has lower Honor than you, your Honor will be lowered to his - correct? What happens if I then fight a battle and go ahead of the leader in Honor, am I now the leader? What kind of interface to the Alliance does the leader get? Do they get to see the "activity" of members? Can they remove members? Can the remove the founder of an Alliance? Can a founder of an alliance leave the alliance if he isn't the leader? If he is the leader? Can an alliance be disbanded? Can you leave an alliance to join another one? -p
Root Admin Muratus del Mur Posted October 6, 2007 Root Admin Report Posted October 6, 2007 If the restriction of 5 members per alliance is still in place, there's going to be a lot of alliances running about, as all of them are going to fill up fast. So, is there any estabilished alliances out there that have any room? no, only max 5 alliances right now. We need a bigger number of alliances to divide them on territories as necrovion will open up in alpaha 4 s the player with the highest Honor score rules the Alliance still in affect? As I understand it, if when you are invited by the leader, he has lower Honor than you, your Honor will be lowered to his - correct? What happens if I then fight a battle and go ahead of the leader in Honor, am I now the leader? yes, all of them. What kind of interface to the Alliance does the leader get?Do they get to see the "activity" of members? Can they remove members? Can the remove the founder of an Alliance? leader can cick put members but looses honor for this. There is no founder, not anymore. anyone that is leader has full controll of the alliance regardless of who founded it. Alliances will remain active regardless of their members , consider them as permanent houses, so now is the moment to write MagicDuel history. Can a founder of an alliance leave the alliance if he isn't the leader? If he is the leader? Can an alliance be disbanded? Can you leave an alliance to join another one? leader can leave just like any other member, the next player ordered by honer points will take command. you can leave and join an other one but you loose 20 honor for leaving, uness you are cicked out. You can not disband alliances but you can takeover...IF you get an invitation to join the alliance and then you afford to loose enough honor to kiack all out and bring in your people..... Think also that alliance members get loyalty points for every day in that alliance so it gets harder and harder to takeover an alliance unless you are for a long tyme in it and if you do then maybe you don't want to do that anymore. Very good wuestions , good for people to know
Progenitor Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 Some more questions if you've got the time What happens if you end up being the only person in an Alliance? Can you kick yourself? Can you leave an alliance if you are the last person? What happens to the alliance then? Will Alliances have any allegences? Like will they be allied to a given land (Golemus Golemicarum, Necrovion, Marind Bell, Loreroot, No Man's Land??) ? Or some other type of Faction or something? Will alliances be able to form formal diplomatic relations with other alliances? Will they get positive honor for attack enemy alliances and negative honor for attacking members of allied alliances? What are all of the benefits planed for being in an alliance? What about those players that aren't in an alliance - how will they figure into the grand schem of things? -p
Root Admin Muratus del Mur Posted October 10, 2007 Root Admin Report Posted October 10, 2007 What happens if you end up being the only person in an Alliance? Can you kick yourself? Can you leave an alliance if you are the last person? What happens to the alliance then? Yes you can exit the alliance, the alliance will remain without members. There will be an alliance page at the capitol where you can see alliances available to join and stats. Will Alliances have any allegences? Like will they be allied to a given land (Golemus Golemicarum, Necrovion, Marind Bell, Loreroot, No Man's Land??) ? Or some other type of Faction or something? Yes alliances will be bound to one of the lands and they will get land specific bonuses. Land bonuses can affect things like regeneration time , or max number of action points or other more critical stats values. All alliances in a land share same land influences. Will alliances be able to form formal diplomatic relations with other alliances? Will they get positive honor for attack enemy alliances and negative honor for attacking members of allied alliances? There will be WARS ..wars are short periods of time when the regeneration counter goes at 1min/regeneration so that a huge number of fights can happen very quick. When other lands will open, the alliances will be divided on them and the taret will be to fight the other lands. A counting system will be added to count score points between lands. Alliance members wont be able to fight eachother. No diplomatioc relation will exist between alliances bound to same land except during war time when you will be able to attack only enemy alliances. Benefits from attacking other alliances are not defined yet. What are all of the benefits planed for being in an alliance? What about those players that aren't in an alliance - how will they figure into the grand schem of things? -p Alliance bonuses can cover all profile settings a player can have, except principle points, so you can has as a bonus a lot of things from basic stats like you do now to more advanced stats later. I am planning to change bonuses based on alliance name to make each alliance have tis own benefits different from the others. Player without alliances will not benefit from the extra bonuses but they will also be immune during war time and will not take part to the total land fight score. Alliance affiliation will be sort of a must to advance to next levels of the game. There will be a limited number of alliances in this game. now its the time to create them. Later on only under special conditions you will be able to submit a new alliance request...such as 500 honor or more. Alliance seats will increase. it is possible to divide alliance types in two categories, clans and war alliances, clans will have only name and will be created by any player with the required amount of honor points and war alliances will be fixed. clans can upgrade to war alliances under certain conditions. this is just theory for now, it will depend on how things evolve in alpha 4
