I have noticed that after a certain amount of VP is reached, you can basically ignore that stat forever. Even with VP loss from loosing experience, I have not had to pay attention to my VP since I bought the last piece of equipment.

I suggest that for more powerful items in the MD Shop (Or better yet, the spent credits shop), why not add a VP requirement and Cost to them?
This would need to be scaled based on how many active days the item requires to be available, so that it would not disadvantage players grossly, however I do not think it would be hard to balance it.
