Rujean reacted to Indyra in Mya Celestia Is Dead!@dst&aysun - Debating ? what debate ? all i see here are debates that have nothing to do with this quest?
one of you keeps ranting about how much RP she did the other keeps ranting about the fact she;s not there when the action happens and time zones - i;m not a moderator but i can make you both specific topics
@ Princ : if you care to complain make another topic byut do not speak in the name of the quest makers i think they can speak for themselves.
Would one of the moderators delete all off topic posts please
( and no i don;t care if you give me negative rep)
i would of liked actually participating at this quest ...but thanks to both of you i lost my interest
now i would really like to read some informations about this QUEST here so that i could really understand what's with this quest and if their are any clues to follow ?

Yeah but, shouldn't she make the choice herself when shes of age?
Your argument is based on the idea that this new account is actually a new player. That is not the case.
This new "character," if it can even be called that, is simply another alternate for an established player. There will be no "deciding;" all the choices a new character would normally make were settled on long before this account was created.
Your argument would make sense if this had been the actual child of two people. However, this is little more than yet another example of the extremely poor quality of role playing that has permeated MagicDuel. A character conceives a "child," but the player portrays this “child” as being nearly identical to the character who is supposed to be the parent.
The tradition of starting "children alternates," used by the same players who are supposed to be the parents, was a trend I had hoped to see the demise of, yet this is just more ammunition to be used by those who believe that role playing has no place in this game.
If this is what role playing is turning into, and it pains me to say this, then they are correct.

If this is what role playing is turning into, and it pains me to say this, then they are correct.
Allow me to say that firstly, I agree, and secondly, that not every person who "roleplays" in MagicDuel agrees that role-played children are a good thing or role-plays in the same way.
I will go further: I am very annoyed that some people seem bound and determined to remove the "fantasy" from what is advertised as a fantasy role-playing game. I do not refer to those who famously oppose role-playing, but to that same camp of those who think "child alternates" are good for the game, for they undermine, whether they mean to or not (and I think, on balance, that they are unaware of the effect they are having), the consensual fantasy and the magic of the MagicDuel game setting, and they undermine it with the basest of humdrum, everyday details. As my "alt" Keith Moon observed, no one cares whether there is toilet tissue in the invisible WC of the Defensive Quarters. That is a detail we can all live without.
Until that second camp agrees to study the setting, analyze it, and attempt to understand the impact the setting has on their characters, I, like you, have only the feeblest of answers to the first camp: "It ain't me done it." Among the second camp, I must include, with no pleasure at all, those who smile and nod with approval at "events" such as are the subject of this thread.
As a proud citizen of Loreroot, I, as the character Tarquinus, sometimes find it hard to be proud; and indeed some might say the pride I exhibit is only for the sake of role-playing the Latin cognomen of that character.

Rujean reacted to phantasm in Discussion About Avatars.another thing.
This whole "my 'brother' might play someday" thing. Not only are you showing your childishness by running from your problem, but to say this. It reminds me of the whole Adam Riddle indecent when his "friend died of cancer so he took over" only to find out it was really the same moron as the first guy, but just made up the story about his death so he could try a new start. Which of course failed miserably because we all know, once a moron always a moron.
I tried to be nice in my last post, but the longer i kept thinking about it, the more i wanted to slap myself for simply considering your application at any time into the Caretakers. I feel sorry for poor Princ who will undoubtedly be left trying to pick up the pieces of your shattered illusion of drawing capabilities.
I'm not sure what the punishment for these fraudulent drawings will be. I say he wants to leave the game fine, ban his IP address so that him or his "brother" can't come back to the game. The character Sir Kamil should have its items and avitars stripped and tossed in the garbage where he, and his actual drawings belong.

Rujean reacted to dst in Moderators - Humans Or Machines? For quite a while now (including today, yes fenrir, I am talking about your report) moderators have been pointed fingers at for expressing their opinions. Since when are we not allowed to say what we think? Since when should we refrain from speaking our minds just because we are mods? Why should we have less freedom then the normal players? Huh?
Did I used bad words? If yes, please provide the print screen or the place where I did that.
Did I say something that is not true? If yes, please come with proofs.
In case you feel like I abused my powers, please BRING proofs!
All you do is whine and accuse and point fingers but NEVER bring proofs! And then you whine some more when you are sent away for the lack of proofs.
You insult mods and then you whine when you are punished. And you scream "mod abuse"!
Get over it people! Play the game, obey the rules and in case you don't want to follow the rules don't be cowards and assume the responsibility!

Your stupidity has reached a new level of unintelligibility.
C'mon! I really need to explain this is satire?!
But there is a serious point to it. I want a discussion of how ppl really use alts, and what exactly is abuse.
I use an alt Zezc as a peer mp3 to help noobs learn to set rits. She lives in the Paper Cabin. She is Czez, only mp3. Is this an abuse alt? Perhaps…. I used to play another char, who had separate life, goals, interests and friends from Czez. That clearly was not.
Recent public discussion, as well as the new rule restricting alts from GGG made this topic relevant. The restriction on alts previously had been that multiple accounts are not created with the purpose of aiding the main. There are clear cases where this has happened, and they have been punished when the abuse is egregious. But I don't see the alts in GGG as posing the same kind of problem, so I want to hear more about the motives for this restriction. There have been alts in GGG for a long time. In public training areas they benefit everyone, not mains. I don't care if you agree with me, but it is a topic worthy of sncere debate, rather than petty personal insults, Chewett, which are unbecoming of a Moderator.
-
Rujean reacted to Chewett in Alt LiberationA little thing i didnt make clear
Alts are allowed, They are allowed so you can experiance MD differently. They are even encouraged so you can try everything MD has to offer. A perfect example is Tarq and Keith. They are two totally different people.
Alts are not allowed just to benifit a main or a group of people. This is why we have rules such as the one Mur imposed on GGG.
The rules are perfectly fine unless you are trying to abuse the system, So i dont where there can be an issue. Unless you are trying to abuse the system ofc.

Rujean reacted to Czez in Alt Liberation[I am posting this on behalf of a friend who because of 'Alt' status cannot even get a forum account!]
People of MD!
For too long we have tolerated injustice perpetrated on our brethren! The time has come! End Alt Abuse and Discrimination now! Demand more Rights for Alts!
Who among us can say he is not an Alt? Who has not been forced into idle mode while another 'Alt' is active?!
We, concerned Alts of MD, are seeking redress to include the following:
1. Henceforth, stop using the offensive terminology 'main' !!!
2. End discrimination in training areas such as GGG. We Alts have long provided public service keeping such areas rich with targets during off-peak hours, and some of us with honor as well! No longer shall we be forced into slavery, hidden in remote locations and abused by a select few!
3. End abusive practises which give us all a bad name, such as bringing us unto alliances solely to pass Heads and kicking us out with no role! You know who you are!
Support our cause! Liberation for Alts!
Sincerely,
X
Alt Liberation Front
p.s. If you do support this cause, show your solidarity by marking your own PL with 'I AM AN ALT'

What BS is this? there is no limit to the creation of forum accounts, if you wanted to you could make 200 right now. The only limit we put on alts is that if you create several we talk with you (before any action is taken) and remove your accounts depending on what you say. This is because "alts" can easily change the outcome of polls and such.

That word is merely a description, It depends on how people use your alt. I would never see Keith Moon even mention his "main" wheras i would use it when speaking on Chewett2 to describe Chewett

Mur himself said he will BAN alts in GGG each and every time he goes there. So your post will not change his idea.
What is your issue with alts? Are you annoyed that when you roleplay with you 50 different friends that you go into idle mode and its annoying? or perhaps that you cant farm of your alts to get easy wins.
All of the points you have made are both pointless and rahter stupid.
Oh yes, please do neg rep me and flame me. But all i see here is a stupid post from someone who has a past in abusing their own alts.

Rujean reacted to dst in Md Is BoringHmm...I asked 1 question some pages ago. Seems like I got no answer which only proves that my assumptions are correct. Thank you for the confirmation.
Now, let me point some stuff out (they are not really related to each other but at one point some will be on topic; also I will refer mostly to myself and try to generalize as less as possible) :
1)Is there a problem that I
run around attacking anything [they] I see without mercy
? Even if you like it or not so far I have obeyed the GGG rules (my reasons are irrelevant). Also I have stopped using it. See it as maybe a sort of protest if you like. But I will probably change my attitude soon. Why? Cause for me MD means fighting.GGG doesn't satisfy me anymore (when that happens I take measures ).I am too old to mindless stat grind. And no, I will not apologize for it. You all say that we should stop complaining about MD being bored and do something. Don't mind if I will. In case you wonder: I do have crits to raise that can be leveled in GGG so don't think I need wins on crits that cannot be trained there. Not to mention I still now some stuff...but this is not important.
2)The overall quality of the quests has decreased. Even I went on the dark side and made the Asteriks quest. I haven't told you back then but I did it to mock RP-ers. Too bad for me that my plan did not work and players took it seriously. When I saw the responses I had to comply and play along. To be honest I never thought anyone would take it seriously and I expected almost no participation. Anyway, I am disappointed. I thought that now, when Kings would have the ability to give out WP codes, there will be a flood of quests. Not only that there aren't but many of them are pure crap. Even more: there are "secret" quests (yes, I am talking about Mya's "quest" for the Loreroot people). It's just pathetic...
3)Vets are bored. Result? Whining. Personally, for the moment I have no projects. This is the first time that happens in 2 years. Result? I log in, walk a bit and then I idle. It's more fun reading the forum then actually playing. For me at least. Who is to blame? Nobody. But this doesn't mean that there are no reasons for that. Some of them would be the following:
-I am denied certain things because the community said so (yeah, it's a direct reference to No.1)
-I am in a "bad mood"/"low phase"/etc
-I am reaching the end of my player's life
Only time will tell which of them is the correct one cause right now I have no idea.Or I will shake the boredpm of and start taking actions.
So, the idea I wanted to point out is that after a while, as a vet, you can do just few things. You already did most of them. You are left with too few. That's not good.
4)We are a small community. We know each other for a long time. We developed feeling for each other: good or bad and we act according to them. As much as I don't want to, personal feelings rule my actions. And this happens to everyone. And if I hear someone saying otherwise then for me that person is a hypocrite. You simply cannot split a character from the person in front of the PC (yes fenrir, I stay IN FRONT of the PC not in the back but I don't really expect you to understand that since it's rocket science ). This has another consequence: noobs are not really welcomed (yes, I have to agree that someone else pointed me this flaw). They have to work extra hard to integrate themselves. And sometimes they are caught between vets arguments and they are forced to choose sides. Basically this means they have signed their "death sentence" (ok, I exaggerated but I hope you got my idea). Or they never integrate themselves so they leave. Or they really get bored. Now it's easy to get the info about crits. It's easy to raise them. Answers are being served on a silver plate. There are no real challenges. Cause we, the community simplified everything. Too much.
5)LHOs are the best idea ever but after a while I see them doing their jobs cause they have to. They don't have the passion anymore (sorry LHOs, some of you know I like you a lot so don't take it personally). Why not make LHO position a temp one? 3 months, 4 months? 6 months tops. Let others become LHOs. Recycle them. Re-circulate them.
6)Bah! I stopped and I lost my ideas. So...to be continued when I catch them

Rujean reacted to Fenrir Greycloth in Md Is BoringBecause it was to appear as if I didn't have a hand in it. And it was complicated trying to keep the people that needed to be a part o it informed without telling then the whole story wa a challenge. I knew some of them would tell their friends what was happening and thus influence the ending to their liking.
I have anger issues against people who talk crap in a game but wouldn't say it to my face IRL. Or those who attack others for being weaker.
-
Rujean reacted to Fenrir Greycloth in Md Is BoringChewett, knock it off. I was trying to plan something, but you know what happened? Peace left md, yrth didn't have time, cryxus pulled off that stunt with the caretakers and then above all else I got sick and tired of everyone in md.
How about you get off your but in MD and do something. I attempted it, but to many things didn't work so I gave up. And I never kept promising crap. I tried organising something in secret. But it was to complicated for it to work. So much for this secrecy thing to since you like to constantly bring it up whenever you get a chance.
Sort out your problems IRL chewett, stop projectin them on others. These moodswings of yours are pathetic.
-
Rujean reacted to CrazyMike in Md Is BoringLets leave RL issues out of the thread.
Everyone has problems.
This thread is getting off topic and getting personal.
MD is an escape from RL.
The citizens make it interesting.
What we do make it intersting.
Stop whining and do something.
If you think its too complicated, then MD is not for you!

Rujean reacted to dst in About Wps And The CodesI like Shadow's proposal.
I see it like this: restriction=discrimination
I agree that the WP codes should be given by kings only to their own citizens (with exceptions, but those exceptions have to be set by kings or they can even not exist; it's up to them). But I don't like restrictions like: you can win a wp only if you are citizen of land Y.
Now I will refer only to myself: you want me out of a quest? There are ways to do that. And NOT by denying me the right to participate. There are certain types of quest that I will never do cause I hate them. And this is just an example. People will not participate just cause I am taking part? BS! (sorry for the foul language). Let's say that I know at least one quest that was "arranged" so certain people will win. People that don't even know how to spell the word "quest". Unfortunately this is hard to prove.
Now, I am concerned of another aspect:WP trading or "gifting". And creating "dummy" quests to have a reason to give someone a WP. Or creating quests that almost nobody knows of to have a reason to give WPs. I do hope Mur will make public the WP logs because I am sure we'll read interesting stuff on them.
