Tom Pouce Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 Since the meeting thread is long and as many discution, can you plz point out the final decision as how it work? - i am confuse as the number of checkpoints per quest and final scoring rules - i am confuse as the one quest per day mean? is it that the quest is to be code in one day, or the code already done, the quest is enable to be play on the one day thanks
BFH Posted June 28, 2012 Author Report Posted June 28, 2012 Number of checkpoints: As much as you like. It's recommended that they have some, but be sure to state the number before the quest begins. Scoring: You as team will select x number of checkpoints (IF ANY) to your quests. Points that the team gets are counted as an average. Example: He completed up to checkpoint number 4 out of 5 checkpoints. This means he got 4/6 (100)= 66.67 that is the score they will get. If he finished it fully he gets 100 points. The team that made the quest receives 5 additional points for each team that fully complete the quest. It means that you will have to make a fair quest to receive that bonus. (You don't get any bonus points for those who independently participate and fully complete your quest) ---- Independent participations. If you did not signed up for the teams but you still want to participate, you will be able to do so, but won't compete against them, but instead against all other independent players. Same rules apply but you don't have to create a quest. You will participate in a team quest and they will assign you points that at the end will get divided into the total amount of quests to get an average. The player with highest average gets something. --- At the end the averages will be summed and divided into the amount of quests. The team with the higher average wins. Duration: One quest with the ability of it being solved that same day (must not take excessive time, remember that other teams will also release their quests for the same day and that I will run mine as well, for this we might setup a schedule). Remember this is for fun. I I hope each day we have something new and interesting to do.
BFH Posted June 29, 2012 Author Report Posted June 29, 2012 NOTE: Remember the Summer Fest Duration is Three days
