purplebunny Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 I got Botox yesterday for my Chronic Migraines. It went well My neuro said it could work straight away or take a few days/weeks to notice any difference. Last night was the first night since Oct 12 when I didn't have a migraine It was only 31 injections across injection sites in my forehead, temples, back of head/neck and shoulder blade area. It wasn't painful just more like a mild discomfort. Have go to back in another 3 months for another session, then will know after that if it works or not. If it works then we continue every 3 months. If not then it stops. purplebunny xx Quote
BFH Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 Bottox is a great strategy. Applying small bits of pressure on specific areas helps control headaches a lot. We hope to see you without headche for a long time Plix Plox and Nimrodel 1 1 Quote

purplebunny Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Posted March 29, 2013 Thanks everyone xxx One thing I didn't mention is that my GP exhausted all drug routes before referring me to my neuro. He in turn exhausted all other drugs and I got 2 different nerve blocks which didn't work. Botox was the only next option. Nimrodel: my neuro is the best in NI Fire Starter: yeah I tried that, it doesn't work for Chronic Migraine though. Quote
