----

I think that many have good toughts to wanting to improve MD, its retention of new players, and money making from MUR, concil, advertising, .. and most players

But i want to point out, that looking at players kinds model and psychology would be usefull to make plan improve

Same looking at some comments others forum have talk about life cylce of games, marketing stragegy and money model

and note: MD is not first game, and other games have grow and die, maybe we can get learning from other games either mistake, or learning

and i will comment that by my xperience, i saw some greath games died .. because of imbalances

anyway posting hoping some will read that stuff and get some idea ... aplicable

and maybe if some find some interesting references , can post link or reference in this thread

or if its give some idea of strategy ...

Not very, you require flash to play MD for the most part, But removing flash is a mammoth task that could take 2-3 people at least half a year to do. The issue is that every single scene uses flash, so we would need a HTML5 backend and all the scene images moved over to a new format. There is a mobile site but thats quite limited in functionality.

I don't know much (or anything) about coding/programming, but if there is even any little thing I can learn and do to support transition to html5, I'd be happy to support this action.

In the year and a half since I've lived in my current home, my presence on MD has diminished significantly for many reasons, including the fact that I don't have wireline internet. Most of my internet use is via android, which doesn't provide a great MD flash experience. MD seems well suited to mobile and an update to html5 could (maybe?) even support an app interface which I would gladly pay for, given the opportunity.

I'd be happy to take on some small task if it will help. Perhaps a whole community of us doing small steps could be just as useful as 2-3 people working 6 months? Food for thought :)

I like you statement Rumi but I have the feeling that Chewett meant 2-3 People with good coding/programming skills are needed and even then it would take a long time to do it. I think the move over to HTML5 is urgent because many would play it more intense or even start only because of this but on the other side there are many other very important things waiting - so what to do first? Lets find out using this ->

Writing a new backend and just devising it will take time, But the main pain is taking all of the scenes from the base drawing and recreating them in a format that is modular and therefore easy to use. This could be done by those with skills with adobe fireworks and similar but this requires the HTML5 backend to be written.
