Forum pic uploading system is pathetic

An ordinary non-mod forum member does not have upload from file option! This is the first uploading interface I have seen that doesn't have this option.

 

Moreover, even if you do provide a URL, it will reject it, saying "max size is 500kb" even though your image size is 10kb.

 

This needs fixing, please... (yeah I lost my forum avy too)

I have the file upload option, and I am an "ordinary non-mod forum member".

I am able to upload pic files, but do come across the file error, where it will say that I have reached the max size even though I have decreased the file size to the appropriate size.
