When you create a sacrificial lambs to guard the vitality in case of the attack, have 0% bonus vit. If you do not heal the critter to 100% the ai will ignore the rit and will use on of the offensive ones instead. If the creature is going to die anyway, why do I have to waste vit to heal it to 100%?

You don't necessarily have to heal the creature to 100% for the rit to work; you must have more than 301 VE in the creature (or total in creatures if you're using more than one). Aqune was talking about it a few days ago and mentioned that it was implemented in order to prevent loss-farming, which sounds about right. If that's the case, it didn't really work. >_>

It's not a bug though.
