On topic:there are topics about alliances but they are scattered around the forum. The best source of info would be (if I remember correctly) Azrael Dark ( he has on his personal pages info about alliances). But (and now i will spoil things a little bit) with the new illusion system implemented anyone can be part of an alliance.
