At this point I have to wonder if Coolbee is one of the 3-dozen alt accounts that were banned recently.

If Coolbee is still in the game, he should be punished for fraud.
If Coolbee has been banned, I have a claim on his assets - either 2 sc or that elemental.

It is possible though only mur would know that. His last post was April. 8th on the fourms so the date is possible also his name is red and highlighted in yellow if that means banned then yes he is. Though there is no mention of your creature unless he edited in after April. 8th as

Thats as far back as I can look all this constitutes is a trade of 2 silver for a elemental sold to redd and a use of two credits for 2 silver coins.

My later purchase of an elemental from Redd has nothing to do with the broken deal with Coolbee - except that I wouldn't have had to get one from Redd if Coolbee had kept his word.

The conversations with Coolbee are all saved in my PM files and forum "conversations". You could check NOW that Coolbee was on today - my observation that he was online the 17th may be harder to prove, but not necessary.

I believe that what Kamisha was saying is that there is no log of your transfer of silver coins to Coolbee.

Well, you aren't going to ever leave story mode unless Mur un-implements it, so coolbee would technically break his contract by giving it to you before that time... and definitely not by not giving it to you while you are still in story, that's the condition of your contract after all, that you have already left story mode.

A newbie-mistake from a newbie-trader, not a fraud by coolbee.

And well, even if you say so, he refers to the closed storymode where you cannot do anything. So if coolbee tries to argue with that it would by default be fraud, intentionally from the beginning.

Even more of a sidenote: He hasn't really written anything in the forum yet, although it shows he was online. Try to check your message in the forum, when did he last read it, and when did you send it? There's a timer for that. If he hasn't read it yet, just assume he was busy and try to wait a little bit more. If he haas read it, claim fraud.

I remember the message that you enter story MODE and cannot do anything other than continuing the story/meditating for a while. Before that message you already experienced part of the story itself, so don't confuse story MODE and story. While the story isn't finished, it is clear when story MODE ends, with the difference between actions a player can take and be taken against when in or out of story MODE.
If memory serves right, the other mode is called free roam and is also announced with a pop-up, but even if that weren't the fact that 95% of the people understand end of story mode as such, should be enough. Otherwise, I could claim a poor command of English language and get away with anything.

btw - Coolbee did edit his original Yard Sale post on April 11th, the date of my silver transfer. I'm saying he crossed off the second elemental (item number eleven) at that time because that one was intended for me.

I believe I made it clear in my correspondence with coolbee that the issue was I could not open a slot up while locked in story MODE.

If Coolbee shows up to defend himself, he can either give me the elemental, or the 2 silver back. Since I have been out of story MODE for 8-9 days now, I am almost out of the story again, too. But of course he wouldn't know if I chose 24 hours or "continue now" all through the story, once I am in roaming MODE.

Below is a copy of PM sequence beginning 13 days ago. He knew the timeframe I would be out of story mode and asked me to PM him in this regard, so he should have been looking for it.

When I go on the forum, new messages pop up in abstract mode, and he has been on multiple times, yet he has never "opened" any of my many forum messages.

This here is something you should refrain from saying when dealing in trades. That is pretty much an open ended ticket to get around to it whenever he gets to it. You would be better to put a time frame or in the least As Soon As Possible. At your leisure mean a few days or a few months. ASAP means more or less that its possible to do as soon as the player logs in. Words can easily be twisted, and you need to be as exact with your wording as possible.

Exact time frames, like withing 5 days, or within 2 weeks, is much better because then a solid time frame is set and you can then make a claim. As it stands now Coolbee pretty much has an open ended time frame to get you the CTC

Not saying that it's right, as it only takes a moment to send a CTC, only that you need to be more careful in your wordings from now on.

Okay, at your leisure? He was just being polite. Do you honestly think that it matters? This isn't a legal binding contract. You guys keep on playing with these words and it will only make it harder to trade because people will be so paranoid about being scammed.

No one needs to be careful about wordings. A trade is a trade. Once you agree on the price, one sends their offer, the other returns with their end of the agreement.

For once I agree with Fenrir. The agreement was for the ctc after he's out of story mode he clearly stated he was out and had an open slot it shouldn't be that much of a problem to send a ctc unless of course he was one of the accounts banned. The pm if unedited is the only sort of contract needed with both parties agreeing to the price and one's fulfillment of their end of the deal. Unless there is some vital piece of information we are missing here, is this not a clear cut case?

I believe this is called setting a time frame. I was saying no rush, you have a couple more days (at that time).

I still have heard NOTHING from Coolbee. His total absence from this discussion is rather telling, don't you think?

Today, over 2 weeks after the deal was made, Coolbee reappeared, apologized for his absence, and delivered the CTC code.

Please close this case.
