See the odd shape bottom left of the white box? where you type the new creature name in?

The odd shape/texture is meant to cover the white box area, not hide down the bottom left... :)

    Looked through 5 of mine that were due for a name, and no issues at this point (on FF)

    Chrome (Version 38.0.2125.122) worked fine for me with no issues.

     

    Same for IE (Version 11.0.9600.17358).
