How should a new player start in MD?

Featured Replies

Hopefully I'm getting the question asked by Mur right, if not, it can be fixed later, but, How should a player start in MD? What should happen? What should they do?

My own answer,

Amidst a sea of thoughts, we must forge our own paths, and discover the realm as we see it, not the exact same way as others see it. Through this, we will write our own paths into MD, building both our own role, and defining that which is MD in our own terms.

I agree with IaB. Each one has its own path and its own way to see MD.

Anyway, here is how some would like it :

Anyway, there were a few ideas that could help polish the new generation: the predefined NPCs

I don't remember well but I think Mur added a bot feature to answer basic question. Or was is just the chat translation ?

Honestly;

I don't like the question.

Not because it is a bad question, per say, but because I feel it doesn't quite... well, have a good answer to it, I feel. When we all started MD we all had our own perceptions, experiences, and desires.  Now that we have gone through those stages, our perceptions of what "should" be done are colored. Some (not many) are brand spankin' new. And so, maybe the question would better apply to them. But many of us, have been around for years and you only experience the freshness of MD once, so to speak.

These are just my thoughts.
