The all hallows night is almost upon us, and it's time to get you cauldron at the ready!

This is a 3 stage quest and all stages should be completed to be eligible for any winning position.

Part 1: Create your own version of Shakespeare's "3 Witches" cauldron scene.

Part 2: Name and describe the created potion.

Part 3: Create a cauldron!

Notes:

  • The ingredients and chosen "Three Witches" should all be MD based (though a little slack for wording is allowed here and there).
  • The connection to Witch>Wording>Ingredients will mean a better score at the end.
  • Humour and/or things/mixtures that are disgusting will mean a better score at the end.
  • Uniqueness and creativity in all three sections will mean...you guessed it!...a better score in the end!
  • Cauldrens may be made out of any sort of material you like, even drawn or painted!
  • Uniqueness and creativity will be the highest deciding factor on a winner.
  • The better the conformity to Halloween, the better the score in the end.
  • Please include a handwritten player name and ID with any submitted cauldron picture.
  • Here is the scene for those of you that do not know it:

  1 WITCH.  Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.
       2 WITCH.  Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.
       3 WITCH.  Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!
       1 WITCH.  Round about the caldron go;
    In the poison'd entrails throw.—
    Toad, that under cold stone,
    Days and nights has thirty-one;
    Swelter'd venom sleeping got,
    Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Fillet of a fenny snake,
    In the caldron boil and bake;
    Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
    Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
    Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
    Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
    For a charm of powerful trouble,
    Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       3 WITCH.  Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf;
    Witches' mummy; maw and gulf
    Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark;
    Root of hemlock digg'd i the dark;
    Liver of blaspheming Jew;
    Gall of goat, and slips of yew
    Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;
    Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
    Finger of birth-strangled babe
    Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,—
    Make the gruel thick and slab:
    Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
    For the ingrediants of our caldron.
       ALL.  Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
       2 WITCH.  Cool it with a baboon's blood,
    Then the charm is firm and good.

Quest begins from now (27/10/2016) and shall close no later than one week from this date (3/11/2016). Winner will be decided by a panel of judges.

Please send all entries to me in a forum PM titled "Cauldren 2016" (Anything title otherwise will not be read)

Rewards:

1st: 1 WP/Elucubrat

2nd: WP/Elucubrat (whichever is left)

3rd: LoC Spell Stone + 1 Top Spender Ticket + 1gc

(P.s. Don't worry about trying to make it as fancy as Shakespear's version, just make sure it follows roughly and you announce who is speaking which part and when!)

        Enter the three Witches.
        WITCH#1 : dst
        WITCH#2 : Lintara
        WITCH#3 : Syrian

WITCH#1. Thrice the tormented soul howled'd.
WITCH#2. Thrice and once, the Pimp fart'd.
WITCH#3. Pickaxe bashes:—'tis time! 'tis time!
WITCH#1. Round about the caldron go;
         In the solid stench throw.—

         Days and nights has thirty-one;
         Toxidendrite bite got,
         Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!
ALL.     Double, double toil and trouble;
         Heat pours, and caldron bubble.
WITCH#2. Bones of a fallen Sharptear,
         In the caldron boil and bake;
         Lumber of oak, and fenths of log,
         Ashes of any, and bushies of hog,
         Wasp's water, and Fine Sand,
         Exfoliated skin from Grasan hand,—
         For a blast of powerful trouble,

ALL.     Double, double toil and trouble;
         Heat pours, and caldron bubble.
WITCH#3. Skull of priest that burned the book;
         A shiny fossil from a old crook;

         An engraved shade on the tree bark;
         Torments of all in a selected few
         Sticky Goop from we all chew;
         Grasan Ferment you must seep
         To see wasteland full of sheep;
         Let the shadows embrace all
         Liquid dust pour from your jab,—

         Throw the clay into the boil,
         For the ingrediants turn to soil.
ALL.     Double, double toil and trouble;
         Heat pours, and caldron bubble.

Ha! I would have never beaten darky.

This is what I started working on but never finished....

The scene takes place in a cave. The cave is decorated with a pink wallpaper with hearts and flowers, lots of modern furniture, bling bling hanging of everywhere
and also scented candles that can cause anyone nausea.
The 3 witches sit on recliners. The oldest one (around 70) is dressed in a flamboyant red and black dress with lots of ribbons and strings. She smokes a long cigarette. In her right hand she holds an Iphone 6 with a cauldron image on it.
The second one is a skinny type with a poison green dress, in her late 60's. Her hands shake a bit when swiping the images on her phone (a cheap Chinese one).
The 3rd one is the youngest (50-ish). She wears a scarlet suit (pants and coat) with high heels and a lot of marble strings hanging on her neck. She has a Vertu phone which she can barely use due to her long and bling-binged nails.

Witch 1:
Dear beloved, we have gathered here to create a potion to cure stupidity!
Witch 2:
And low IQ!
Witch 3:
And small brains!

Witch 1:
All right sistas! Let's begin to cure the world of small diii aaa...small brains!
Witch 2:
You lead sista!
Witch 3 just nods taking off an imaginary lint off her scarlet suit.
