freelancer Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 Is there any way to participate in your quests without having to download any files? I dont like to download unknown executables off the net.
Mr Mystery Posted July 13, 2010 Author Report Posted July 13, 2010 Hmm we could do it manually. But then i wont be able to do it today, due to me having to go. I made that file from scratch, so its is safe. I didnt dl any of it from other sites.
Yeah... see i was also very vary of ANYTHING downloaded from the internet. I ran it in the virtual pc which i then removed because i would not trust people on the internet. From what i can see i believe it is safe, But so are all the best viruses.
Totenkopf Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010
I made that file from scratch, so its is safe.
lol that sounds just like "take off yer clothes, i won't do anything" no, but really, i think people would be less suspicious if you'd put it up as a script on a web page or something
Mr Mystery Posted July 14, 2010 Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 True... but i doubt im experience enough to go making viruses . Only been learning for 2 weeks now. But still, you have every right to doubt it. Thats why theres the manual option. But i made this console program, so as to allow, people to still participate in the quest, even if im not even online.
Mr Mystery Posted July 14, 2010 Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 @Toten Well i could try that for next time.
Root Admin Chewett Posted July 14, 2010 Root Admin Report Posted July 14, 2010 or... Shock horror. Use the tools Mur has provided. MDscript would work perfectly for something like this. It would also mean people wouldnt cheat the timer by closing and re opening the program.
Mr Mystery Posted July 14, 2010 Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 Dont i have to unlock that using MD Wp store?... And the reopening the program... I was planning to do at the start it will immedaitely read from the file it made, so as to continue from last timer point. But i failed in doing so... >.<
Root Admin Chewett Posted July 14, 2010 Root Admin Report Posted July 14, 2010 Well, You dont need to unlock it if you can impress Rendril Enough by your coding efforts. there was an announcement made a while back again. What stops people from just deleting that file also?
Kafuuka Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010
Well, You dont need to unlock it if you can impress Rendril Enough by your coding efforts. there was an announcement made a while back again.
Sounds like a catch 22 to me...
Mr Mystery Posted July 14, 2010 Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) Ye... lots of holes here and there... Well ill go find that announcement, if i can. But ill just wait a bit to sharpen my skills, before contacting him. Edited July 14, 2010 by Mr Mystery
