Fyrd Argentus Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 After being abused in a public place, I have dozens of "whack alarms" that keep on sounding, days later. There have been "bug" queries about this before - it's just what you get. How about a button that lets you reset the queue of alarms? Quote
Root Admin Chewett Posted November 22, 2011 Root Admin Report Posted November 22, 2011 Or, just turn off the notifications. As for "days later" really? Iv never encounteded the problem, a simple refresh stopped any recurring notifications for me. The more intresting point, can it be done as you said? turning off sound notifications to me seems easier. Quote
Maebius Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 I have my notifications off, because I was also continually getting "THWACK" notifications when in a sanctuary (for two days tested this recently). I'm sure it's a silly browser cache thing, but refreshing browser, clearing cache, etc still kept that icon highlighting with "forgotten or nonexistent battles" for many many hours. Rebooting the PC completely seemed to clear them for me, though. Quote
Brulant Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 I also have this problem. It happened most notably in the past where I had fight alarms for 4 days after Heads ended. Refreshing the browser, clearing cache, restarting the browser, using a different browser, and rebooting didn't fix it for me, so I just muted my computer for 4 days. I'd really like to see a mute alarm button (that mutes everything including alliance and pms) or just a way to reset the fight alarm. Quote
ChildOfTheSoul Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 What about a global mute button? I always play md when listening to music/ am doing other stuff. Logging in to hear, "Thwak, thwak, ping, ping, ping, and sanctuary music kind of gets on my nerves. Quote
Fire Starter Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 I second the global mute and the clearing of battles ideas. CoTS, have you started a Topic on your idea? Cause it really outpasses Fyrd's. Quote
ChildOfTheSoul Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 I will, I guess. I hadn't really planned on it. Quote
