The Ghost of Murmas. Quest of kindness

Recommended Posts

The ghost of Murmas arrived just in time to see how life is going in the Lands of Magic Duel.

From now on and until the end of the year (31. January) make sure you behave well! What do you need to do? Simple: do something nice to somebody you know or you don’t know in MD. It can be anything – a present or a journey or a nice surprise, conversation, help in distress...pretty much anything that is not your direct duty, anything that makes other person happy. Be original, be creative, be attentive, check on people's needs, find out what they really wish for and how can you help them. After it happened report it yourself or let the person you showed your kindness to report it to me via forum pm.

In your letter describe what you did (or what somebody did for you), why you (or they) did it and what were the consequences of this act. The ghost of Murmas will judge your acts of kindness on the matter of sincerity, originality and selflessness. The most outstanding act of kindness will be rewarded with a WP, second and third place will be covered with gold and silver straight from the treasury! After the event is over, acts of kindness will be posted in this thread. Anonymity can be negotiated, but I believe not necessary.

Be kind to each other! The ghost of Murmas is looking forward to hearing from you!

PS: if you report somebody who did something nice to you expect that person (not yourself) to get a reward :)

Well i guess i can help this quest by posting a example of being kind.

Acts of kindness ..this reminds me of a noble story that happened long long long...okay not that long but like 5  yrs back. It all started with KC Guards failed mission. KC gave us [Azull, Sunfire, me & 4th guard ] 15 gold coins in order to get some items required to complete this mission. Well my brothers were very honest and sincere in their quest but i was smart. Yess i wanted those gold coins instead of this stupid mission.

So i plotted a scheme to use those 15 gold coins [exactly i can't remember how much it was ]. I pretend to sacrifice myself by moving out to no man's land disobeying KC's order to stay and guard LOE. As all the required items were in No Man's land. Thus gaining trust of my brothers and finally i had those 15 gold coins. Poor brothers they just fell for my plot ahahaha.

Then the next part comes the Tree huggers. They were big fan of KC those days so i managed to collect all the required items without spending anything from those gold coins but i reported to KC and my cute brothers that i had shelled gold coins to collect it ....epic hehe.

Then the last part was me hiding those gold coins by buying rare creatures ...good old days...hehe

Now the Act of kindness part was i felt pity for my brother's in the end so i left some 5 or 6 gold coins to be shared among us hehe.

I hope the above was helpful specifically to noobs And Merry Xmas hehe

  • 5 weeks later...

I’m fairly new to MD, I’m 9 AD old at the time I write this and I am thankful to have been the receiver of so much trust, understanding and kindness from the guardians of Gateway Island (Blackshade Rider, MaGoHi and Azull).

The story I’m about to tell you is part kindness, part trust, part teaching moment I guess…

It all started with me needing 1 Crystal and asking for a trade (Azull, MaGoHi and Blackshade Rider were active at that time). Blackshade Rider told me he needed some toxic plants for a tea. I didn’t now anything about tea but I knew how to gather the plants so I accepted the deal and asked how many did he want.
That was the moment things got a little crazy for me.

He asked the other guys if they wanted some tea as well, they did, and started discussing about preparing some tea, about the fact that I am or I am not ready to do this, asking each other about the ingredients and the preparation method, all this while I was there.

It was somewhat funny and somewhat puzzling witnessing a discussion about me with all the parties being aware of the fact that I was there. At some point, someone asked me if I wanted to learn how to prepare tea and I accepted in a flash, not knowing but suspecting it wasn’t easy, but willing to learn as much as possible there, in MD, and also being truly thankful to them for including me in such a nice and quite complicated ritual.

After some more discussion, I was declared Tea Master (not sure this is the right term) and given a teapot, some heat stones, a tea book and lots of guidance.
It was fun.

MaGoHi, Azull and I managed to prepare 3 pots of aromatic tea (Blackshade Rider went away for a while) in the end and split it 4 ways.

For me, it was an act of kindness that, from a simple Crystal vs Toxic plants discussion, I ended up being included and learning how to take part in a ritual that was way more advanced than my knowledge of MD.
