June 30, 20206 yr comment_186128 Can we apply this effect in MD? Spoiler (I haven't heard of something similar in here, but maybe I'm not informed well) What I mean is, let's make time flow slower in upper GG and faster in UG and lower NC. If only to make things messier. Spoiler But no, I see it as an application of the principle of time. Report
June 30, 20206 yr comment_186129 Would you please elaborate why this effect should be applied? I mean, it's cool, but... Report
June 30, 20206 yr Author comment_186130 Well, it is interesting to me how time and mind relate. A time unit, being the result of a process of measuring, is different from what our bodies or our cells perceive as 'time'. You just function until you don't, and the laws for that, for the lifespan, governs a 'time' that our minds cannot understand. By comparison, the time that we count is a simple construct, and yet often we confuse the two (if indeed you can call the other a 'time'). With a few pointers (such as implementing the gravitational time dilation I was suggesting) that difference can be enforced. Report
June 30, 20206 yr comment_186131 just to see if i get your idea, is this related to the refresh timer ? or would you use it on all cooldowns? including attack cooldowns (and possible triggers?)? Report
June 30, 20206 yr Author comment_186133 The refresh timer is one thing, then there's spell duration, resource regeneration etc Didn't think about combat or triggers, but why not? everything involving time!! or, if it's too hard to code, not everything, but just a few things Report
July 1, 20206 yr comment_186137 So you’re more looking for hey, here’s an idea. How could this be applied? Could viscosity not be an application of this? That our perception of the time and the energy to move could be intertwined, one in the same, or even two symptoms of the same cycle or phenomena (in this case the principles that dictate the MD realm). Report
July 1, 20206 yr Author comment_186139 I think it would complicate matters, as viscosity has a different purpose. Sure, you can think of a way to integrate time and space perception, somehow. Report
