If not I can give you a few more details (or you can find out easily at the Forum). I am inviting you to be a part of this event. Like I always said, you don’t need to be a trader to trade. Perhaps you might have found something interesting in one of your excursions… a snake, a rare stone. Or you might have a few objects witch you prefer to trade rather then keep. If you have manufacture something I am sure it can be quite valuable on the fair. If you are a storyteller, or an artist your performance will be also well received. Kyphis the Bard Posted April 15, 2009 Report Share Posted April 15, 2009 I'm working hard to become a bard, and I do a lot of story and poetry telling, singing, dancing, and general merrymaking. I would love to see this fair get off the ground as a place where I can practice my entertainers trade. Question: The wepon shops in MD... they all mention "stock", and it is (as far as I have seen) always unlimited... if a limit was placed on the stock of each item, say a certain amount each season, and not all items available every season, it would create a similar market environment as with creatures. Also: It would be cool to actualy get a specific map location for the fair, perhaps with several screens to avoid an overload of haukers (for instance one quarter for Common items, one for specialised items, one for creatures, and maybe one for weapons, with a central location for entertainers and food sellers (food sellers=VE regenerative item sellers). Doing something like this would also allow for things like, say, a creature pen to be put in the creature area, or a forge in the weapon section, where people could go for the most common things, that a begginer would need. Treehill Posted April 15, 2009 Report Share Posted April 15, 2009 (edited) I've been getting quite a lot of problems with my itens......i want to make a special artifact and im half way of doing it only have to find wild flowers and a topaz,after just get kragel and subzero to make it but i dont know if the itens will be destroyed or not(or if possible chunks of them could be made from the leftovers),but im willing to give all of them once i do my staff,although i made a promise for Grido giving him(isnt him with you doing this Krysna?) after if its possible.... Added/Edited: It seems the itens stay with Kragel or are consumed based on Mur decision...so i dont really know if it will be possible to give them... I will probably get access to some item creation ability soon, so maybe I should open a workshop there for people to buy custom items on demand? Also, what about trading character weapons/armor (perhaps akin to how creatures are traded)? I am *very* excited about trading/bartering, because it will help spread the wealth and keep things that much more decentralized. There seems a lot more potential than only using coins which are few and kinda hard to come by. Also, I play the nyckelharpa for hire if I won't play for free *winks* Ask Kittiness how I play. I have only a few items for sell (4) but perhaps this will encourage people to trade some more. It could be fun. Other type of goods (the ones in the list and others to come) will be sold for "MD Gold coins" or traded. It wont be a a board for that. I will set the prices the day of the fair. But King Khalazdad ask me to give the economy a bit of reality, he loan me a few silver coins to start buying Items. Since I already have thought of a fair I took my chances. I started asking support and trying to buy items. I got plenty support, but items where almost imposible to get. (I did had a lot of fun reading the answers to my offers... you wouldnt believe how precious a T-Shirt or a mug can be...) I bought a few, but after a while I realized the Market Fair had to be done, with or without items. We´ll see how it goes...
