Since Drachorns are worth around 10 gold its a little under, But i think thats an average price for something thats avaible once per year.

rarity increases price of a creature, and the fact that as far as i know nobody else is selling one, means it increases moreso

I'm also patient enough to wait on someone wanting to buy it for that price or higher

A bit offtopic, but I somehow doubt you were scammed, unless you were selling it for less than one gold...

A while ago, closer to christmas, the price dropped to around 2 gold, IIRC.
