Hardcover for me also. The pain you can cause with a hardcover book is greater then the one you can cause with a normal one.

funny thing:
I talked to the director of the publishing house, and he told me something like "I hope its not something like davinci code or so, or people will give us headaches" . Obviously he doesnt know english and after translating the subtitle he was a bit worried ) Defenetly the version translated in romanian i wont be able to print it with the same house. For now i explained them its nothing against church or so, its just a coincidence the name is like that He was more relazed after that.
Along with the book they sent me an other sample book to show me the capabilities they have for color printing, now listen to the title: "God damn you satanists rockers!" ..im not jocking Now i might be exagerating but i think its to much of a coincidence and he put that "sample" there on purpose.

I thought its funny and i'll share it with you

The publishing house that sent me the initial softcover sample ....stopped answering my phones and emails. I guess they translated the subtitle part related to god and they freaked out. I called them today from an other phone and they answered. They told me that they have no clue and that i should try again next week. Its unbelievable but so typical Romanian. At least they could say "we don't like you, good bye" but they chose to hide behind their phone like little kids...

I will try with different ones too, see who gets it done first. Sorry for the delay.

Uhmm...why do I get the feeling that it would be faster if you would print it and put the hard cover yourself? Even if you would wrigt it by hand it would be faster then waiting for those <insert bad word here>.

I talked today with an other company, and they are supposed to give me a quote tomorow and a sample in 2-3 days. I hope it will work this time. Again, sorry for the delay but its not my fault things around here go by the saying "tipic romanesc".

It is not really leather imitation, because for black it looks better on this kind of black, and i don't want it brown or red if printed with gold foil (i checked all options).

yes, but you will have to add to that price also the shipping from Romania to your country. Also for normal post i will send it whenever i get the time to go to the post , pack it, stamp it and all that. For fast shipping, like a curier, i can ship it as soon as its done because they come and take it.

Anyway , i will post pics with it here once its done so you can see how it is. Then you can "signup" for one if you like. Of the current "stock" (4pcs) i wont have any remaining since i ordered exactly as many as i need. The cover is hand bound and they do them one by one anyway. I will have more remaining from the normal hardcover version, white one.

I can't wait to see how the come out, few days till monday seem an eternity

The problem with the normal hardvover version is that i need to order more and currently i am out of money. The orders placed here are just a few compared to how many i need to order. Thats why i cant do it right now, but i will do so as soon as i can, and for sure i will do so when the romanian version is done. I am sorry for this delay.

The black cover version can be printed anytime because they are hand made one by one and i dont have a minimum stoc limit, but 41$ is a lot, i know, not my fault.


I will keep this topic updated if anything changes.
