With all the support, I believe it is only a matter of time before it will be official.

Kaya reacted to Syrian in The Arrival of the Late QueenToday the final remembrance service was held within Necrovion where we discussed the future of the land. It was there that i announced my desire to start a new era of human inhabitants within Necrovion land, and with that announced, and gained the support of 11 of the people present, for me to regain the title of Queen of Necrovion.
It seems like everyone was waiting for me, and the only person late to my coronation was myself.
The summary of support
I hope to one day do their support justice and lead the people who would follow me into a darker tomorrow.

Kaya reacted to Mallos in Petition for the Grand Duke of the EastI state otherwise and I think... Necrovion needs an alliance still? Since Syrian has joined us, something I wanted years ago but convincing ex-Necrovions to join us back then felt like a fools errand, I believe the Queen of Necrovion may have some idea of what we could do with the Caretakers alliance... Just me being vague here though.
Ledah I am disappointed you have left but don't worry you will still be my friend second only to Fang, no offense.

Kaya reacted to Aelis in The Memory OutpostOn Day 281, Year 21, we remembered the ones who watched over Necrovion in recent years, carrying out their seemingly eternal toil. We also had the privilege of hearing a Death Patroller recount his own story and learning of the burden they carry.
Marked by those memories, a fifth memory stone was placed beside the others. It reads:
Not all was desert. Death walked its borders as two kept vigil over the land.
Our remembrances have now brought us to the present. For our final ceremony, we'll turn our eyes to the future. Join us this Monday, October 12th, at 21:00 Server Time for the closing ceremony of our first event.
PS: I'll start adding the complete logs for the earlier stones to their corresponding posts. The more recent ones, however, will remain in-game only.

Kaya reacted to Else in Quality of Life Wishlist for MDMaybe we can add to the spellbook/spell list the descriptions we had in the evo shop/wishshop so we dont have to open past purchases to review what they do..

Kaya got a reaction from Aelis in The year 21 MP3 experienceFang, nothing we talked about are bugs. It is all design issues/feature requests. Those don't go to Eggdar. That being said, as far as I know none of this is actively being worked on at the moment and that's definitely something we should change :D
I would love to help build some combat challenges for MP3/4 players, though. With the splinter setup it shouldn't be too difficult to create, for example, a sparring partner in the sparring grounds at the Marble Dale Park. Give me the right access and I'll do it :)

Kaya reacted to Aelis in The Memory OutpostAmong old and new visitors alike, we reminisced about a mournful period in Necrovion's history. On Day 279, Year 21, about ten years and a few months after the closing of Necrovion, we remembered how it happened and how it felt.
There were memories of defiance, sadness, apathy and entropy. Despite all the sorrow, a final remembrance spoke of the future, and I would like to quote a bit from it:
"[...] I have returned to find that memory still lives, and where memory endures, there is always something new to build." — Marvolo
After that, a new memory stone imprinted its words:
The people left the land, but it did not leave them.
We will gather once again this Friday, October 9th, at 21:00 Server Time for one last historical remembrance, this time focusing on those who remained in the wasteland.

Kaya reacted to Aelis in The Memory OutpostWith a lovely count of 10 people present on Day 277, Year 21, we remembered Necrovion's monarchs: their idiosyncrasies, styles of rule, and impact on both Necrovion and the realm as a whole. We also discussed the nature of rulership in relation to the Shades and heard personal memories from people who had first-hand experience with the Kings and Queens.
Even though I had to leave early, the remembrance was masterfully conducted by samon and, for the third time, a memory stone was inscribed. This time, it was held by Syrian. The inscription reads:
Khalazdad, Peace, Jester, Azull, Syrian. Different times, different hands. All joined by one land, and now one stone.
The next remembrance will take place Wednesday, October 7th, at 21:00 Server Time. We'll focus on the Exile next — that sorrowful moment when Necrovion became a deserted land.

Kaya got a reaction from Fang Archbane in Should cauldrons be able to be used solo?I've always liked the teamwork aspect of the cauldron, even if it is a little inconvenient. A good excuse to get together with someone.

Kaya reacted to Seigheart in The year 21 MP3 experienceWere not talking about clearing it. Were talking they cant even get a win from the first one because its still tough for them. Almost anything should beat the first one.

Kaya reacted to Chewett in The year 21 MP3 experienceWhen it was created it was stated that it was balanced so that people could farm it when people were lacking targets. Whoever suggested changing it to 15 minutes has somewhat destroyed that

Kaya reacted to Syrian in The year 21 MP3 experiencei blame me :( i asked if getting creature wins on it was a bug, it replied it was not, then quietly changed it to a 15 minute cooldown for some reason, now everyone is mad at me (myself included) D:

Kaya reacted to Seigheart in The year 21 MP3 experienceI've been trying to help a few of the MP3s like Turth Speaker but they're basically soft locked behind the combat.

Kaya got a reaction from Seigheart in The year 21 MP3 experienceI made a new alt to see what the MP3 experience is like at the moment, and while in some ways it has improved since my last attempt... 5 or so years ago, in some ways it has gotten worse.
Here are a few points I think could use some improvements:
This sign always just makes me feel bad. While encouraging people to read stuff is great, this kinda punishes them without warning and forces people to play the game in a certain way. You can also reach the scene this sign is in before even starting to make the map, which means you'll be forced to look at the shovel for 20 some minutes. Allow people their own form of creativity.
15 minutes is a long time to make someone wait. Especially because the first fight immediately shows the "you lost your first fight" screen if you don't have an aramor (or other offensive creature) without showing the actual fight, so it might take a while for a player to realize what's going on.
Another point is viscosity, which can drain a new player's AP pretty quickly, leaving them stranded.
There used to be people on GWI that helped new players find their bearings. I'm sure there still are, but during my time there I only saw Chewett's bug testing alt. Which makes the flight escape impossible and makes the 3/5 days until you're able to go to the mainland kinda lonely. You can gather resources and explore the island, but other than that there isn't a whole lot to do unless you know what to look for. While I think it's good to encourage new players to explore the island as much as possible, the wait times feel unnecessarily long. In my opinion we should allow players to make their way to the mainland whenever they feel ready, because we can't make them wait when they don't really have a reason to come back yet.
Finally when you come to the mainland you'll have all of MD to explore... And maybe 2 alts to fight against, if people remember to pull them out. The Splintered Apparition isn't really feasible for a fresh MP3 and (at least at this point) the card fights are a lot more complicated than normal fights. I think it would be good if there were a similar opponent to the Splinters that is leveled to MP3 players.

Kaya reacted to Chewett in Make streaks actually usefulCurrently we have a "streak" system where if you do things repeatedly you get a "streak". However the streaks only last a short time. Currently there is little point trying to build a streak because of the speed they disappear, and therefore I don't think the system has any value.
Specific streams last 40 minutes
General streaks last 2 hours
Given this, streaks are only very temporary and don't seem to offer anything to MagicDuel. Maybe they should be extended in time, with actual interesting impact, or just removed?

Kaya reacted to Chewett in Seigheart's Guide to CauldronsI don't really see any reasoning for them being solo apart from "I don't like teamwork" which seems to defeat the point of the cauldron aspect. Which is fine, I like to be antisocial at times too, but it's a bit like making gathering items work when depleting, it defeats the point of the concept of "teamwork cauldrons"
-
Kaya reacted to Chewett in Seigheart's Guide to CauldronsSolo cauldrons just make them items and remove the uniqueness of the cauldron. I can see why you feel that way.

Kaya got a reaction from Chewett in Seigheart's Guide to CauldronsSolo recipes seem boring to me, what fun is brewing poison if you're not forced to share the moment with a friend.

Kaya reacted to Aelis in Public Statement - A new path for the CaretakersI have been thinking about a possible direction for the Caretakers, particularly in light of their historical association with death and preservation. Rather than treating these as separate responsibilities, I think they can be brought together through the idea of memory and what remains after loss.
Death in the realm is rarely permanent. People, alliances, even lands may wither only to return many years later. What is lost in the process may therefore be something subtler and more delicate: a role, a relationship, a place, a practice, a memory, or simply the way something once was.
I have proposed a new alliance statement to the Grand Duke and now I would like to make it public and hear from you. I believe this could be a good direction to move beyond the focus on death that has defined much of the Caretakers' identity for so many years.
I would welcome your thoughts, objections and suggestions. Let us see what it stirs.
