Just Phantom with 15gc

Well, it seems Phantom Orchid has renegged out of her bid for the Reindrach of 15gc.

Now, there are several options I could take here.

I want to know the publics thoughts first before I decide.

What do you think should be done?

have you personally contacted her? its relatively easy to forget bids you make.

Yep. She said she accidentally gave away all her creatures and gold in the festive spirit.

Oh I thought she had bought Cots Rein for 10 gc instead.. maybe just unrelated however.

Well, I say that you should either you put it up for bidding again, or it should go to the runner up bidder.

Typically these kind of things would get no punishment, since if a player in unwilling you can't force him.

I just suggest exclusion from further TK auctions- if one does not follow the bid once, it cannot be guaranteed to not happen a 2nd time.

While this would be acceptable (while unwanted) event for a typical player held auction, this is a MUR auction. I dunno if that makes a difference or not, but these are not my creatures I am auctioning off, but Murs.

If Mur rules apply to this auction, i suggest that you go with the Mur rule:

For fairness, you never said people cannot retract bids either. While I agree it is unwanted and not such a great behaviour (which is why I really dislike doing it myself, I rather tend to pay the price even if I do not need it anymore), you should add a disclaimer saying no retracting allowed next time.

I'd go with festive mood this time and warn her off, but leave it at that.

yeah, i would continue the auction for a day of no bids, (run it til there is a 24hr period where no one bids) in the Christmas mood

Okay, continuing the auction with LW with the C/B of 14gc. 24s must go past without a bid before Auction ends.

Also, Phantom Orchid is no longer allowed to participate in TK auctions for a period of 6 months.

Can I retract my bid of 14 gc and go back to 12 since she can no longer afford the 13 gc bid. Out of curiosity to save a couple gold coins >>

Edit: it's just a personal issue against the person and I feel they tried raising the price with no intention of buying is all. I have no problems with keeping my bid at 14.
