Mur probably:

- gave the wrong answer to a serious question.

- acted cocky and ranted how he is all powerful and how he can do this and that and can not be touched. This made the killer want to prove him wrong.

The killer:

- wanted to surpass his own limited condition and killed Mur to inherit his powers. (old belief)

- believes that by killing a demon he will be forgiven / cleansed of his sins or such.

1. To become the new god of MD

2. To try to overthrow the current god of MD

3. To free MD of a super power

4. To show that the people in MD do have influence

5. To show that Mur isn't as all powerful as everyone thinks he is

1. Killer wants to securely get Murs attention and make him realize that his absence from the game has serious repercussions throughout the game (it's becoming more and more stagnant)

The killer wants to take over SOTIS somehow

The killer disagrees with Mur's concepts of SOTIS

The killer regards himself as a better replacement for leader of SOTIS, but Mur refused

Edit: corrected spelling of "himself"

Let's see what the night concocted...

Killer killed a god to better themselves. Killing old ways for new ways. Evolution comes through destruction.

I thought it was obvious but your imagination is wi(l?)der than mine, folks :P

Hint: lashtal is the killer.

Because it was one of the interpretations of LAShTAL to be a killer, which led to the killer killing Mur since it was a long time desire, now satisfied :3

Also, the killer did not want to wander away from God (aka Mur) in the sense that Mur would be sent to the cemetary, which is in the killer's homeland, making him always within easy reach to wander to :D

To bring Mur into Necro

To learn from Mur

Because he wanted to!

because the mandrake told you to?

the shades wanted you to in exchange for passing around that dark water

to gain access to the crypt and field of fear?

To be killed himself in retaliation for killing Mur?

Because the signal in the LAST AL went out, and this time Mur dying was part of the assignment?

Not quite what I'd originally have gone with, but:

1. To deny the god of MD.

2. To deny Mur as the the god of MD.

3. To deny MD has a god.

4. To deny Mur's godhood.

5. To deny Mur regardless of whether or not he might be ultimately denied.

6. As an act of love for Mur.

7. To allow Mur to be reborn, or to be reborn himself.

8. Because love became desire.

9. As a form of self sacrifice.

10. To deny god so that he might not stray from god.
