Demonic God Posted May 17, 2021 Report Posted May 17, 2021 The WP menu tells you that you need to be in the MDA to grant a WP (if you have at least 1 WP reward code active). This message can fail to show, and the normal "redeem code" menu is shown instead. At the moment, I have two suspected causes: A cache issue that should go away after a forced reset Firefox specific issue This was about... a week ago? I didn't test it further (and couldn't, given the problem requires WP codes to try and replicate). Quote
Root Admin Chewett Posted May 17, 2021 Root Admin Report Posted May 17, 2021 Hi Demonic God, Thanks for your bug report. Could you try and clarify what the issue is by replying to the questions below, your bug report is not very clear on the precise issue and what could be done to trigger it: What part of this bug is affected by the interface changes? What do you have to do to cause the bug to appear What do you mean by "A cache issue that should go away after a forced reset" What is a "Forced reset" Which cache do you refer to? Are you saying you are currently using firefox and that is the issue you have observed Please post the screenshot you have taken of the bug Is there a problem this has caused, what do you need from us to resolve this issue? Has this stopped you redeeming the rewards or is this stopping you giving our wishpoints? Which menu is the "WP Menu", can you clarify please as there are a few that come to mind Could you highlight where this message is on the interface please Quote
Demonic God Posted May 17, 2021 Author Report Posted May 17, 2021 (edited) Quote What part of this bug is affected by the interface changes? It is an interface related bug. I'll post all bug report in the normal forum if I can't discern it was brought about by the interface change, if you wish. Quote What do you have to do to cause the bug to appear Use the WP menu. With a WP code active. With Firefox 88 on Windows 10. Quote What do you mean by "A cache issue that should go away after a forced reset" What is a "Forced reset" Which cache do you refer to? Clearing browser cache and reloading the page Quote Are you saying you are currently using firefox and that is the issue you have observed Yes. Quote Please post the screenshot you have taken of the bug There are none. Bug reproduction requires limited resources (WP code). Quote Is there a problem this has caused, what do you need from us to resolve this issue? Other than wasting my time and confusion, none. Quote Has this stopped you redeeming the rewards or is this stopping you giving our wishpoints? Nope Quote Which menu is the "WP Menu", can you clarify please as there are a few that come to mind Wishpoint control Quote Could you highlight where this message is on the interface please See above answers regarding inability to reproduce Edited May 17, 2021 by Demonic God Quote
Root Admin Chewett Posted May 17, 2021 Root Admin Report Posted May 17, 2021 Thank you for your replies as this greatly helps us resolve these issues. 7 minutes ago, Demonic God said: I can't discern it was brought about by the interface change, if you wish. That would be ideal please, this forum should only be for issues relating to the new interface. 8 minutes ago, Demonic God said: Clearing browser cache and reloading the page Surely reloading any page clears the "error" as you are no longer on the page? 8 minutes ago, Demonic God said: There are none. Ah I believed that you would have taken an image of the bug, my mistake. 9 minutes ago, Demonic God said: Other than wasting my time and confusion, none. Demonic God Posted May 17, 2021 Author Report Posted May 17, 2021 Quote Surely reloading any page clears the "error" as you are no longer on the page? Not if it's not working rather than showing an error message. Quote I'm not sure what you mean here, can you clarify? The bug has no error message, no indicator that it is not working as intended, unless you manage to get the feature working. As the feature is meant to provide information, it is one that is not only hard to spot, but fails to disclose to the user what they need to do to use said feature. Hence, time consuming on the user's end. Quote I appreciate that, so you don't remember where on the interface the error was? I cannot highlight something that I cannot reproduce, due to listed reason. Quote
