Html In Messages

Featured Replies

I believe it's a bug, so yeah..

html you put into PMs actually gets converted when you click on reply, because it shows on that right side box and the system accepts it. I think this was unwanted.

Perhaps a fix may be wanted.

Well, I assume html is disabled in usual PMs for a good reason, like reducing the serverload etc.

Unless that changes I'll see this as a bug.

Actually this happened then, I only just remembered to report it here.

Someone was telling soemone else the html code for the papers, and then the new player was like WTF, my inbox is black!

Etc.

Reminded me to ask for fixing.

Do you mean messages in game or on the forum?

HTML in messages wouldn't affect server load since it is simple text being sent (your browser renders it)
Messages should be sanitized but it would be nice to have text formatting (changing words to bold, italics etc) something similar to BB-Codes.

I haven't noticed this happening in game though.

Admin Needs to check board settings, its not a bug

As for the IN GAME html rendering, yes it happens, it can be helpfull sometimes, although i do recall someone putting lots of <'s and >'s (as some emot or something) in a essage to me once and tonnes of the messable not being visible when replying to it.

Likelihood of this changing soon: Slim to none, unless you use Mur's definition of soon :D
