While i appreciate anyone doing this quest, and i also know its not an easy task to make a 3d printer work (took me a while first time), i don't think that just printing a dragon you found somewhere, means that you built it.

If you come up with your own design, regardless how horrible it comes out, and you print that, or at least considerably modify an existing model and personalize it, then print it properly, then i can consider this a valid entry, otherwise, not.

I'm not sure if it's intention but the evo pickle item has a 34 hour cooldown. Originally pickle jars had a 3 hour cooldown.
I would propose reducing the evo pickle jars somewhat so they are more fair for their evo point cost

chew, what i was unsure of was if some if the skills i have its only me that has it. but i will do a proper investigation next week.

after reading latest comments, i thibk that is indeed more useful to have equipables for influencing other stats as well, not just attsck and defence.

i will first investigate this, i think i have enough to start such a big change

Oh yeah I wasn't listing all the methods. I was pointing out the more unclear ones to Mur so he knows there isn't a special/testing skill and it's "real" :)

Just to add something to this.
Like Ledah mentioned combat stats don't really mean much because everything has a hard counter.
Not only that, but the differences between various characters are so great that maintaining armor would feel like a waste of time (no amount of boost a set of armor can realistically give me would overcome hundreds, thousands of percentages worth of difference in stats).
So in order to make them more useful, would it be possible to create pieces that have a non-combat focus (or at least not strictly attack/defense)? Like something that increases briskness, making it easier to gather heat, or maybe some scout garb that has an AP reduction for movement. Armor that reduces heat scars (or increases, for masochists)? A wizard cloak that boosts power and maybe grants some extra casts? Just throwing some ideas out there...

About what structural changes i will be willing to make to the weapons system, so you know the limits:

    Yes:
    - cost to be winertia percentage of your max total and over
    - conversion between resources, items, heat, weapons
    - degrading weapons, making fights destroy equipment

    No:
    - variations of output weapon properties (depending on ingredients or forge place etc), at least not for now
    - custom names for equipment
    - directly trading equipment (only blueprints via items)
    - making them cost anything else but winertia directly, they will still cost other stuff to make the blueprints

    ..getting closer

The main purpose of this post was to help Seigheart have a think about how he could build an economy, rather than lots of random resources people can't use. But I shall see if I can prepare a guide that you could use.

Iv spent some time working some constructive feedback for your most recent actions and this post gives a good place to discuss them as it will hopefully help you and your role described here. This has involved a lot of discussion and seeking comments from other players so please read this in the genuine way I have written it, an attempt to help you improve your ideas.
If I haven't conveyed what others said, please feel free to post your comments further here in an attempt to improve this idea.
    AI Slop Helpers
A few people have remarked that a lot of your posts recently all seem very "generic AI fantasy" and don't always meld with the reality of MagicDuel (since they don't know much about it). Some suggestions are that using AI is great, but you need to temper it's output and not just rely on it verbatim.
Here is it quite apparent with your first post being quite generic fluff without anything concrete, you may want to rewrite it to be personal. It reads as if someone who doesn’t care enough to invest the time to write it personally. I don’t think that’s how you intended it to come across so I would encourage you to consider how you portray yourself. We much prefer typos galore than output from GenericFantasyLLM. We do have a Mur working on MD 😉
As you can imagine, MagicDuel is a population of artists, writers, storytellers, and creatives and using AI is a controversial topic.

    Other suggestions on first paragraph
I would suggest changing it to a call to action “this is what iv done so far, this is I’m going to do, it’s going to be amazing, stay tuned”
Another big theme with the feedback is that it's great to see you back, but it would be good to see you back for a bit longer instead of immediately claiming a guild. MD has changed a lot and it would be good to see commitment to an idea rather than flitting, MD works on a lot slower pace than most are happy with and that's fine.
However don’t ask permission to become ruler of a guild, just start being the crafters guild. Titles can be earned later, they don’t matter!

    Goals
It would be good to see you starting to embody the goals such as running events, creating collaborative projects. In MagicDuel a lot of roles are given once people have a track record of accomplishing it. You started with your forge commentary but it would be good to see that continue.
As I said, be the crafters guild!

Why you may make a good leader
Without commenting on this specific instance, someone making a post saying “I will be a great leader” is the number one reason they should not be a leader in my books! Don’t take that personally though.
You want the leader to be someone who, when someone asks “who knows about this crafting” they go “this guy!” That isn't gained by a fancy title, it's created by work and dedication.
You may want to address past behaviours and highlight steps you have taken to change. It also reads as written as an impersonal AI comment similar as in the first paragraph. It's like you said “Write some bullet points saying why I am an amazing leader” to an AI and it's generated content without actual knowledge of your character and past, that's the most important part IMO.
As a specific example you have not been well known for being patient, community focussed, or collaborative and actively stirred hurt in the community. Showing why and how you have changed would add weight to this petition.

Do you want a crafters guild or general workmen “profession” group
It’s a bit confusing because your first post talks all about the crafters guild but subsequent posts suggest you want to help organise/run the general economy of production.
Historically the crafters were about bespoke small scale craft and maybe you actually want to form your own “workmen” guild focussing on expertise on bulk processing rather. Really the crafters guild are dead now the forge is alive.
I would suggest having a think about where you want to actually position your new guild. From your commentary I would move away from crafters and make your own new guild.

    Workshop containing all processors
I think this idea is against all of MD lore and concepts and unfortunately continues the “generic fantasy AI slop” vibe. MD has always encouraged putting things “around” the world to encourage movement, trade, and specialism. I don’t think having a singular place for all crafting is good for MD.
My suggestion would be to split these up and suggest places around MD where they would thematically fit.
Some people I have talked to have actually suggested we need to revive the guilds across the land, Fusioneers, water dowsers, etc. Instead of having a central organisation, make it so each land has a specialism. I think maybe this would work well, and instead of you being the "Head" of them all, work as an envoy between them facilitating crafting, trade, sharing knowledge?

    Infographics
I won’t individually comments on the items but it again looks very generic fantasy, there are various elements that don’t seem to fit in with how resources actually work in MD
I saw Fang made a number of suggestions aligned with my comments about it being generic (and agreed when I spoke with him about it) and not fitting in with MD but now I look again he removed them.
Instead of producing a large quantity of ideas that just don’t fit in MD I would suggest you spend time reviewing actual structures in MD and provide a smaller subset that actually fit into MD.
As an example to help you I have written up how the upgradable were planned to work. I never got time to finish them unfortunately. Maybe Mur will let me in the future.

    Resources need a use
One of the key areas previous initiatives like yours have failed is because they have a lot of ideas about resources that could be collected and processed but nothing about how they could be used. There is a reason most larger games actively employ economists to build a sensible economy to encourage trade.
My suggestion would be to focus more on the end products and why the players (and Mur and I) would care about including them.
We don’t want to add three new types of ore, but if there is a use, that’s exciting. To help I have posted an idea about how resources could factor into armour. Hopefully that will give you some ideas of what I mean.

I’m encouraged to see your real ideas
Without trying to seem too negative a lot of these ideas are quite generic fantasy and I’m keen to see your real ideas where they fit into MD, or where you argue MD should change, rather than a lot of generated things that don’t really fit.
My primary suggestion would be to focus on a few key ideas and make them really good so we can implement them, over a vast wave of things that don’t really fit. .
AI is a superpower, using it well can give incredible results, but if it’s generating a large volume of low quantity ideas it removes what’s special about MD. And protecting what’s special about MD is the only thing I care about.

@Chewett if you can provide a clear info doc about what this feature should do, how it integrates with the rest of the realm, interfsce expectations, etc, i would be able to help implementing it, including artworks and all needed.

you know how it works, build the prompt, but build it for me to understand first, as i will not copy paste it to AI, i need to understand how all this is supposed to work before implementing anything

    thanks

Yeah the idea was that people could actively change their land by building different areas, or ignoring them.
That and bringing an actual economy in would help a lot
  14. Upvote
I posted a lot about upgradeables in the past but due to some health issues I never got around to actually finishing them in MagicDuel. I am still sad about that.
However to help give Seigheart some ideas of an "industry" he could build with his new role he is working towards, I'm going to write out some of the key concepts of them.
    What are Upgradeables
Upgradeables were a concept in MagicDuel to allow buildings to be upgraded over time with regular resource input.
If you added enough resources you could "upgrade" them, if you didn't pay the upkeep they would degrade and lose features.
The idea was that you could gain/lose features within your land if you maintained them, or didn't as the case may be
Why this was matters for the economy
MagicDuel doesn't have a good economy as there is too many resources (something I am working to fix with something secret 😉). What I didn't want is something that could easily be completed by Ledah who has hoarded 500000 mineral ore.
New resources - Riverbed Clay, Hardwood Lumber, GG Stone (not implemented possibly)
To stop "the Ledah Problem" I created three new sets of resources, unable to be gathered until the appropriate tools were ready, that would each appear in a different land.
Each land would need a different amount of resources to build their own buildings, but the idea was that they would mainly use the resource available in their land. This would encourage trading or working in other lands to get the resources you need.
Combined with tools that were initially only intended to be shared, and only accessible by their land citizens, it would make it somewhat interesting
Resources were the tool, not the purpose
The key reason why this worked compared to past "industry/crafting" initiatives was because the focus was building something cool/interesting for MD that people would have a reason to gather. Currently gathering serves little to no purpose.
    Next steps
I want to continue this project in the future, the next steps are as follows:
Properly make 3 unique resources in the game
Finish off the upgradables so that we can have unique structures growing with time
Ensure that these "degrade with time"
Add some unique reasons why people want structures (land bonuses, heat reduction, beneficial spells, skill training, etc)
The AI era does enable a lot of this, now we just need to do it.

Given Mur is reworking the armour and weapon system I thought I would throw some ideas out
    My new concepts
Weapons and Armour should be harder to obtain than a click
Resources used to make the item should be used related to the rarity/importance/power of the weapon/armour
Crafting should require time waiting in the crafting area
Crafting should require a sliding scale of skill
Crafted weapons and armour will degrade (following the new Integrity system)
Crafted weapons and armour should be tradable
    New Rarer Tier resources
We should have some new higher tier resources for items
Those less advanced are more likely to fail to obtain these higher tier
Having tiers like "Iron -> Mithril -> Adamantite" for ore could be a start
"Crafting in place" System - Waiting while you make items
When crafting items you should stay in one place
Leaving would "ruin" higher tier items wasting all resources
Leaving would "stop" lower tier items allowing you to continue
Someone attacking you X times (lower X for higher tier items) would cause you to ruin it
This would allow some value in crafting without it being an instant thing. This follows similar systems converting materials from one form to another.
    Crafting should require skill
You should require specific skills to craft weapons and armour
The higher your skill, the less likely you fail
Some higher tier armour/weapons should only be able be produced by "Master Crafters"
By introducing a skill element people would be encouraged to specialise and train their skills
    Crafted Weapons/armour should degrade
We need a "repeatable" element for armour to ensure it isn't a "get once and ignore" like current armour/weapons
Adding in the integrity system similar to items makes perfect sense
This makes it an actual system people have to interact with, rather than something "one and done"
    Crafted Weapons/armour should be tradable
This lets you specialise in some areas, and creates actual professions
People can decide to either buy armour/weapons from others or make it themselves
This encourages general item movement in MagicDuel and is therefore a very good thing for the economy
    Feedback Welcome!

yes and not only that, but the lack of color in md is to underline anything personal/special, thats why items have colors for example. Pets have all reason to have colors as they are not manifestations of a fixed set of rules like the rest of the things are. However the crits they will be spawning, will be in the classical drawing format, because they are echoes of something, not that something. Same way avatars are bw, but illusions have color (avatars obey the rules of the system, illusions are personal). Colored creatures have color because apart of their usual bw version (the echo) colored bring something else, they are the same crit, but with the memory of an anniverssary or event.

I am glad you noticed, and no i didnt lose my mind starting to color MD randomly :)) it is and will be a color code allover.

The truth is that back then, certain unique stuff could not be truly unique, like illusions, so i had to go with the idea of those things being unique. Now the pets allow uniqueness and color to be more obviously bound

Fang Archbane reacted to Muratus del Mur in Changing "pets" feature name
for the majority of the creatures to follow , pets will be their roots/creators, the current ~70 crits that represent all the crits possible right now, will slowly become a minority once anyone will start building their own crits via their pets. So yes, they will actually be before the future crits, its a chicken and egg issues, we started with the egg i guess.

Fang Archbane reacted to Muratus del Mur in Changing "pets" feature name
i think some of you didnt understand why primordials name in the first place. its not because its cool sounding, but because it fits with these pets being the source of crits, as they are now able to create new unique creatures resembling them..so they are like the source, root, initial blue print of that crit.

    just wanted to clarify that.

i voted primordials for now but i am 50/50 on it. Pets is still a friendly concept, and i fear that if these are not pets ,then i will still create a different form of pet later on, like finishint Aia's cat for example

Fang Archbane got a reaction from dst in An MP7 Request
Let me start by saying I wasn't sure where to place this, so if it needs to be moved please move it
With that out of the way, I humbly suggest that battles involving MP7s should reward the non MP7 party with maximum Honor per battle (400ish if memory serves) regardless of respective win/loss ratios.
I suggest this because my current win/loss ratio is abysmall, and it will only continue to get worse. I can not, and will not be bothered to fix it working 40 hours a week. Not with the current population
I realize it'll most likely be a pain to code, and for that I sincerely apologize. If this isnt fixed eventually (read Soon™️) however, I will no longer be able to aid mp3s in rising up the various Mind Powers due to how our battle system works (or more precisely, DOESNT work)
Thank you for your time, and if I offended you, I'd suggest you get over it. Have the day you deserve

Once there was a small, loving dog named Fang. He was a loyal companion to his owners and allies, always wagging his tail and eager to please. Regrettably however, Fang's life was destined to be full of betrayal and heartache.
His first family abandoned him when he became too self aware and began asking too many questions, leaving him confused and alone. He was taken in by a new family but they were cruel and neglected him, scared of the changes they saw. They too eventually grew tired of him and kicked him back out into the cold.
Fang found countless new families time and time again, and each one promised to love and care for his withering soul. But they too all betrayed him, rendering no aid when he begged and pleaded as he felt his heart slowly dissapearing. Fang walked on his own until his body matched his dissipating willpower and he was too weak to continue, collapsing on the side of the road.
As he lay there dying, a Demon appeared and spoke to him. The Demons words sparked something Fang had thought to be long lost, and a strange transformation began to take place. Fangs small body began to burn and he was consumed by flames, but instead of being destroyed he emerged from the fire as a symbol of rebirth... He arose a phoenix.
Against the Demons best attempts and wishes, fueled by the pain and betrayal he had suffered so relentlessly, Fang set out on a mission of revenge. He flew to the homes of his former owners, raining fire down upon them in retribution for the wrongs they had committed in his now shattered psyche.
But as the ashes settled, Fang realized that his thirst for vengeance had consumed him. He had become a monster, one that was now no better than the creatures who had betrayed him. He then flew off into the sun, searching for redemption and a new purpose in death.
Fang's journey to date may have been full of pain and sorrow, but it also taught him the true meaning of love and loyalty. He would never forget his past, but he would also never let it define him. He would always be there, watching over his rare surviving loved ones from the shadows, protecting them from harm, and always ready to rise from the ashes, stronger and more dedicated than ever before.
