  1. You know... you're supposed to put on a spoiler tag?

I won't say if you're right or not untill you do :P

    ***edit***

Right, it's spoiled and with good reason, because yay, it's correct.

Now all you need to do is find the other correct answer :)

Go back and get the bus.

If I had the forethought of a bunny I would have siphoned the gas from the cycle to the bus in the first place.

  2. I would argue that

a book is also a reflection of truth, as interpreted by the writer.

    As for knowing all,

there too books are an extension of the knowledge of their authors. For example, you won't find most of what I know in a book, because I can keep a secret. :)

A bit ironically though, I almost answered

The Bible; however, it doesn't coincide with my personal beliefs, and I didn't want to start a holy war in the forums. But if you take it from the perspective of being a book whose author is all-knowing, it could work too.

At any rate, even if it's wrong, I still like my answer. Good riddle - I look forward to the next. :)

  3. far as i can read it applys to a lot but not all of it, it's not the answer i made the riddle for anyway, but i dont think

    mirror

    quite fits.

Which do parts do you feel it doesn't apply? I ask, not so that I can justify how it does, but so that I focus on where to refine my thoughts.

In the meantime, my next guess at an answer is

    a television

    .

  4. And if it were the family mortician she could have easily gotten the number through the person that set up the funeral.

    Maybe she's really shy. ;)

    @Trahern:

No offense, but I never realized you're a woman  probably because I keep assuming that people I meet in online games are male until the contrary becomes obvious. I already know you're a fellow puzzle lover though. :)

Oh, I'm not a woman, but I don't see why that should exclude me from having women's intuition. I think I picked a lot of it up in college.

It probably came attached when I was taking their virginity, which I also didn't have at the time.

    :P

  5. A woman at her mothers funeral meets the guy of her dreams they engage in pleasant conversation but never do swap numbers. A week later she kills her sister. why did she do this?

The guy of her dreams is the family mortician.

@Sacosphilz. I'm kinda with you there; I certainly prefer puzzles to riddles. With puzzles I can usually tell if I'm wrong or right. I do okay with riddles - most times it's just a guess, but I tend to be a decent guesser. Maybe it's women's intuition.

  6. Well, to both my riddles, Trahern was right.

The awesome kitten slaying bunny riddle

The bunny takes out a stone and refuses to show it, he could also just swallow it, because it's just a tiny stone. But i forgot to mention that, so your answer is correct.

The part that troubled me about this answer was that it

fails to meet the criteria of "yuo have to dr4w a wite st0ne fr0m bag". I figured with only black stones in play that either some form of alteration or a logical negation would have to be involved. Logical negation doesn't actually dr4w a wite st0ne, and I would question whether these cats could comprehend the logic involved with this solution.

Depending on how patient the cats are, if the bunny were to swallow the stone, they might wait at the other end...

    Eww...

  7. @40

Spinning off of shadowice's response a bit...

The bunny takes out a stone and refuses to show it to them, insisting that they remove the other stone to see which stone the bunny does not have.

    @44?, The Desert Race

    Take your brother's camel.

    No, because

    tennis

    is more

internationally popular, or at least quite popular where I live, and it's not totally American-ish

    . :(

    I wouldn't say that

    baseball

    is

    "totally American-ish"

    . Given your exposure to

    nihongo

I think you'd have to admit to it being

part of their modern culture as well,

    though most likely due to

    American influence

    - I'll give you that much. :D

  8. A random idea:

How about integrating a little puzzle or game into the story? It can take from a few minutes up to a day to solve. The reward might be a small addition to meditation bonus, or in some case a new unlocked story choice. The issue would be how to make the 'mini-game' interesting, challenging, and not repeating itself when players replay the story.

I'll hope that responding to the random idea part won't completely derail the topic.

Naturally I like the idea - Sacosphilz knows I like puzzles - but I'd suggest a slightly different spin to it. You mention a small additional reward, which I assume you would receive only if you solved the puzzle. What about a large reward if you manage to solve it quickly? It could prove to be an interesting way to Balance the differences in wait time. Choosing the time interval could serve not just to demonstrate patience, but act as a bid towards how quickly you think you can solve the puzzle. Bid 1 hour and solve it, and get a bonus perhaps comparable to having waited 24 hours. Fail to solve it in that time and receive only the standard bonuses for 1 hour. It could be like "briskness for story mode". :D

If you bid 24 hours and solve it in 1 hour... there are at least a few options to choose from, and test what seems most balanced. I would think that basing the puzzle reward strictly on the bid might be best; getting two large bonuses might really throw things off. If two people bid 24 hours, one solves it in one hour and the other solves it in 23 hours, is it fair that they receive the same bonus? Maybe you get to advance the story after you complete the puzzle, or only have to wait half of the time remaining.

Feel free to move this post into the suggestions topic, but I wanted to give credit to Sacosphilz for "planting the seed" as it were.

  9. Anyway, the problem is that an unknown person has a STD (remember, can't spell stud without std :D. It could be you, could be first woman, or the last one. Luckily you have condoms, sadly enough, you only have 2.

What do you have to do, so that you will have the all holy fornication with all the nice ladies, without risking an infection, or transferring it?

I know there's been a correct answer to this one, but I may have another:

Use the first condom on the first girl, and the second condom on both girls 2 and 3; assuming from the description that girl 2 is clean.

I initially thought I had a second alternative, but found the phallacy :) mid-posting.

  10. In some areas, if you hold the mouse pointer over the arrow, it will display text showing where the arrow goes to. Remember the name of the area you came from, you can avoid going back there. Unfortunately, it does not seem that this works in all areas, particularly those that have been mentioned.

I do like the idea of color-coding the place you came from though. :)

  11. It's a Frigan Tree... who cares!!!

Only because I don't like the names proposed.

    My vote is for Warwick.

The tree is in the Path of Loneliness.

    Loneliness associates with sadness.

    Sadness associates with crying.

Crying is a synonym of weeping.

A weeping willow is a type of willow tree.

"Willow" was a 1988 fantasy film, titled for the protagonist, Willow Ufgood, a dwarf magician.

Willow Ufgood was played by actor Warwick Davis.

... then again I could add six more lines and argue that we should name the tree Kevin Bacon. :)

... whose middle name is Norwood, which might also be a good name for a tree...

    Edit:

Warwick Davis was in Willow with Val Kilmer

Val Kilmer was in Top Gun with Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise was in A Few Good Men with, yes, Kevin Bacon.

... so a full six lines would have been overkill.

  12. Can't we have a clue lol.....pen n paper means nothing. I know for sure that i am going nowhere fast. To the guys that solved it, was it just a random JAGGER win or was there a method that u used and that u used that method to turn orange more than once lol

I'll drop you some clues. If anyone else here feels like I'm giving away too much, just yell and I'll edit them out of the post.

Count the total number of pieces.

On your paper, or in your spreadsheet, list them down the page.

    Click each piece.

Ignore for a moment "which" pieces it affects, and count "how many" pieces it affects.

Record this on your paper, or in your spreadsheet.

    Think about what you've found...

Start with that and see what you can come up with. Also, I only know the way that I arrived at the solution; I'm pretty sure it's not the only way, and knowing me it's probably not the most efficient way either, but like Sacosphilz, I can now shape the entire puzzle to my choosing.

And while I'm at it, some generic advice...

Don't let the complexity of a puzzle overwhelm you - if it seems insurmountable, try breaking it down.

If your mind gets weary or frustrated with a puzzle, take a break and come back later - a fresh look after a good rest is often the best way to discover things that are "hiding in plain sight".

  13. I certainly do agree. Although, I don't know what the overall availability for avatars in general is, and wouldn't want the artists working themselves to death either. Like the saying goes, with patience comes kittens.

And to help you pass the time, here's a comic I was reminded of involving kittens and tattoos.

  14. I forgot that I wanted to post hints or the answer to that train from hell riddle a long time ago, so here goes.

Bob smokes, so he should have a lighter or matches which he could have lit, or if he were already smoking then the cherry of the cigarette could be visible to the not-so-blind man.

Alternatively, you might have been able to prevent his death by trading seats with him. Since the train is moving in the opposite direction you are looking at, you should see the ambient light from the end of the tunnel.

  15. @trahern, i said do NOT post if you already know/googled it, that way others would have to work it out for themselves

The last answer you gave is wrong anyway, your answer has no connection to the pic, the answer does

You only said not to post if you googled it. I did not google it.

Also, nothing says the answer had to be connected to the picture. :)

  16. The answer is simple, 42. What is the question?

    How many balls are there?

What do the blue hued balls spell out?

If each column represents a binary digit, and red hued columns represent 1, what do you get?

What do the yellow hued balls spell out? (XLII actually, which is 42 in Roman numerals)

What value does the barcode represent?

What is the meaning of life?

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

  17. As far as i can tell

i have over 100 more losses than wins

and there are people that still give me negative honor at mp4 yes when i get attacked from them i do recieve negative honor when i lose that fight

    but they donot

and when i attack people and win with less losses they to recieve negative honor though the honor loss is smaller than if they would attack me

Both of your scenarios make sense to me and seem to comply with how the documentation is phrased. Unfortunately though, they don't directly address my question.

The scenario I'm concerned with is where you attack and lose.

The documentation seems to imply the penalty would affect a losing defender, and if you're the attacker, you're not the defender.

  18. The honor documentation says:

"Defender (the player that is attacked) will lose honor points only if he loses against a player with less wins than him, the honor los is a penalization and is ment to prevent certain exploits on a larger scale. The honor reward (negative of positive) defined by the formula above comes only to the attacker, the defender will not get or lose honor other than the possible penalization."

My question is, if an attacker loses to a player with less wins than him is the same penalty supposed to apply as does to the defender? The combat results below seem to show that it does, but if it's supposed to then why say "Defender"?

In short, if a combatant with more wins loses to one with less wins, will they always suffer an honor penalty, or only when they are the Defender?

You LOST enemy gets a victory
