At this point iv spent a load of time setting the server up so that its properly deployed for our config. There is a few changes that need to be done that i shall be performing over the coming days but it should all be working fine. There may be a number of restarts of processes which may log you out, i will minimise these but apologise for necessary ones. If anyone see's bugs which were not present on the previous server please post them up as soon as you notice them, screenshots and such. Thanks.
  2. By now the only problem people should be having is that their helpful OS has cached the DNS. the above ipconfig command should fix this issue on windows. for linux, google it :)
  3. I have already posted this but it wont resolve all problems as some ISP's may cache it longer than we tell them to.
  4. thats because i restarted something.

sounds like DNS issues, please read other posts concerning this, flush DNS, wait
  6. I am looking into this.
  7. DNS propagation can take due due to multiple levels of caching and bad ISP's not respecting TTL values. meaning: bad isp does bad things, meaning bad things. Try another browser maybe?
  8. then its your upstream dns server and you need to wait a bit.
  9. Yes, clear your DNS cache on your machine Windows can probably do ipconfig /flushdns
  10. Not all DNS servers have updated the new information. For now you can probably access MD using the IP: 164.138.28.154
  11. your browser has chached the loop. clear cache.
  12. (1 Players online)
  13. Rebuilt successfully
  14. Server rebuild 1, now with added wookie magic
  15. MagicDuel is down for Maintenance Currently we are down for maintenance, We are working on the game on something that requires no one else to be playing. We Chewett (Mur doesnt... at all) tries and announce and minimise these occurrences as much as possible so to reduce the amount of time the game is down. Work Started: day 142 y 8 Work Planned Finish: whenever is ready Soon Try again later by clicking this link It wont work
  16. THE SERVER BROKE
  17. protip: scroll down, see pigeon.
  18. When you have existed before and after the game exists.
  19. The backups failed
  20. Writing a new backend and just devising it will take time, But the main pain is taking all of the scenes from the base drawing and recreating them in a format that is modular and therefore easy to use. This could be done by those with skills with adobe fireworks and similar but this requires the HTML5 backend to be written.
  21. BFH is the best to comment on specific ways of raising money/players, but from discussions i have had with him and Mur the topsites MD is on is by far the best, easiest and cheapest way we have in getting more players to play. Without pouring a large amount of money into comparatively useless advertising.
  22. Not very, you require flash to play MD for the most part, But removing flash is a mammoth task that could take 2-3 people at least half a year to do. The issue is that every single scene uses flash, so we would need a HTML5 backend and all the scene images moved over to a new format. There is a mobile site but thats quite limited in functionality.
  23. As a piece of information, we are currently looking into reducing server costs and hopefully this shall be done soon.
