2.
OMFG Aweosme Idea!!! *takes his gameboy and plays whatever sticks into it* Ooooh Mario 1!!!! Epic!!
Damn... I'm not cool enough to have had a gameboy... *tries to join the cool kids by playing something on his iPod touch and fails*
 3.
That's clean? I suppose for a dirty, salty pirate it is. Awi
*laughs* I think it's pretty clean. Though I also think the following joke/riddle isn't too bad. What kind of bees give milk?
boobees!
4.
I apologize if this has caused any trouble for any one and also, I am new in roleplaying please bear with my mistakes and please do point them out so I may learn from them. Sorry it took this long and thank you. Regards, BrightShield
No need for an appology BrightShield. Your papers were very well writen, and the single reference to He-man was, as I already said, rather humourous. I believe the scruteny is coming out because people want to see the papers of the person that won. Congratulations again on winning, I think it is well deserved and I really enjoyed your character's story.
 5. Ya, I was thinking of penalizing him for that, but in the end it just seemed funny to me, and I laughed
 6. Actually I have watched He-man and when I read the "by the power of greyskull" line I laughed a lot. I think the main thing is that within MD his character and backstory are quite unique. :good:
Apparently none of you watched He-man and the Defenders of the Universe.
7.
*clamors* Lecture! Lecture! Lecture! I would like to see the topic include Entrophy (because I know a lecture by Mur will include waaaaaaay more than just one topic )...Entrophy is the Principle that I understand the least...but I like the sound of it, organization and dilution and all that...fasincating!
Hmm, that would be interesting. Entropy is a great subject.
 8. Woo woo! Congratulations to all of the contestants and ofcourse the winners! Also, I'd like to say I had a great time judging for the contest. Reading all of those papers was a little tiring, but I really got to know a lot of you much better. The other judges were also amazing and fun to work with, thanks for the good times Awiiya, Intrigue, and Kafuuka... ESPECIALLY Kafuuka, because you were our fearless leader (ie. he did all of the organization, hard work, and posting). *edit: because I'm an idiot
 9.
New itouch fw ? You really should keep it silent until MD is up again
Yup yup... 3.0 just came out a few hours ago. Adds some interesting and useful new features... also unlocks BlueTooth capabilities, I didn't even know it had BlueTooth!
 10. I'd normally start hyperventilating and freaking out, but the new iPod touch/iPhone firmware just came out, so I'm happy

 12.
Unless you put a flood control on it (1 adept change per day/week) then it definately wont be implemented but still with a control its abusable. So if anyone wants to add anything please think of ways that this could be implemented without harming the current system
Here's my idea and it involves making one additional (and I think good) change to the Adept-mentor system. Presently, the adept puts the name of the person they want have as their mentor in a box. As soon as they hit enter, it's done. I propose that instead, when the potential adept puts the name of the person they want as a mentor in the box, the mentor would receive a notification with the potential adept's name and there be two buttons: "accept" or "decline". Until the mentor accepts the person as their adept, the potential adept can't message them. Going further with this, it would also make sense that mentors can, at any time, stop people from being their adepts. Perhaps you don't want someone to be your adept, but currently there is nothing a mentor can do about this. (If they can, then just ignore this part, and forgive my ignorance ) Thoughts?
 13.
Thank you Sage *hugs* I disagree with you, remember I am a merchant, and I never had too much criticism about my papers. I believe we need a bit more "real" characters on MD. (that is just my opinion) Anyway, this post is for people to enter the contest so if its needed we can open a different one to talk about papers and roll playing on MD. Regards, K
Not to get too off topic on this, but I think Sage means, don't play someone called "Gandalf" and actually try to be Gandalf. Being a Merchant is a role, but not a specific known character that exists outside of MagicDuel. Oh, and I'm really looking forward to this, it should be a lot of a fun. P.S. I've told lots of people already, but just so everyone knows: I will be away from this Saturday (June 6) until the following Saturday. In case anyone wonders where I've suddenly disappeared to.
 14. If your mentor doesn't help you, or even talk to you... it sounds like its time to get a new mentor
 15. Interesting, it is good to know that the HC is in fact very fair. Perhaps more rules should be added and written down (somewhere besides an ancient announcement, and perhaps on the contest page itself where the rest of the rules are written).
 16. Where are the rules for the HC? Because I read the contest page, and it says NOTHING about where one can be during the HC. Sadly, I am doing important work in Necrovion, but have now been teleported out three times. Show me the rules for the HC and where it says you can't hide in places like Marind's balcony, champion's dome, and many other places that only a select few can get to, and I'll understand. *edit: oh and yes, the subtitle for this topic doesn't make sense, but that's OK, I think you know what I mean.
 17.
I didn't go and play in HC because of reward cuz I knew that I probably wouldn't get it etc etc.. Reason was way more simple. And HC is unfair isn't it?
Yes, the competition is unfair, but whatever position to finish in, you should still get the reward for, if you are eligible to win.
 18.
Imo, it's a bug that RPCs can gather heads at all as they can't win the contest... last month Day lost his rewards because Raven got off first, this month MRD (who already won a HC and should therefore be not able to gather heads at all) will most probably do the same... that might need a coded solution...
Agreed, there is little point in winning the HC if you won't even get a reward....
 19. Farewell, Yami. Alas, I did not know you well, as I only started playing a few months back. But I wish you the best of luck in all that you do and pursue in life.
 20.
oh the testing was at about 8 am Server, i think that was finished, i asked Chew to leave the thread up though and if Chew says one of his helpers did it, and it wasnt me, then a non-testing person changed the values always fun when other Mods me more than you
Well who ever is doing it, they need to make the total votes match up with the vote count...
 21.
I LOVE IT! Arf Arf! Viva la waggley tail!
Oh Pamplemousse... only you... I would add my vote to changing the music.
 22. You know, now that I'm not playing MD, I'm actually reading the lfg comic (it was pointed out to me over a month ago, but I never read more than the first one)... it's really, really funny. "That was unquestionably evil, right?" "Also amusing."
 23. Last night I spent about an hour catching up on recent Zero Punctuation reviews. If you don't know what I'm talking about. Google Zero Punctuation... you'll thank me
 24.
Is anyone else scared that it says "IMPLODE"?
Na, that's just makes it "cool" and exciting.
 25.
take up manga and anime. let japanese maddness balance out your MD maddness, speaking of I need to catch up on mine
Not sure if my post was lost in the madness, but I'm way a head of you there
