phantasm Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 A scene in the Tribunal has been changed. I am a bit rust on the rules and regulations on such things. Territory: Lands Of The East Coord: 7_intown_1 Tags: none The Road to Eros (I would assume this was done by the character Ero, or in reference to) User submitted info: Alice came to a fork in the road. \"Which road do I take?\" she asked. \"Where do you want to go?\" responded the Cheshire cat. \"I don\'t know,\" Alice answered. \"Then,\" said the cat, \"it doesn\'t matter.\" References to a fictional book "Alice in Wonderland" Is this all kosher? Burns Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 Eros is the greek god of love, not sure if that goes under playername used in scene-subtitle. I'd rather worry about quoting alice, copyright etc. Quote

Grido Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 So in summary, I'd say it is all "kosher" The Road to Love, works in combination with the scene description as well (I don't think any reference to the road to ERO would make sense) Watcher and Phantom Orchid 1 1 Quote
Phantom Orchid Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Player names are not ok to put in location sub-titles - I get that. But the ones that existed before that rule was put into place are allowed to remain? Quote
Kyphis the Bard Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 I assume you mean locations like Alche's Alley, and the Plains of Liberty? Those names are in the location title, which is allowed. Its the SUBtitles that can't have player names. Quote
Pipstickz Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Actually, Plains of Liberty and Jester's Door are subtitles, Tribunal has no scene names. Watcher and Phantom Orchid 1 1 Quote

Pipstickz Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) In case anybody was wondering, like I was: Coord: 7_intown_1 is Jester's door/road to eros Coord: 7_plains_1 is plains of Liberty As for the actual character name thing, I always assumed they were left as they were because Jester and Liberty are not only names, but I could be wrong. Rendril Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Player names are not forbidden from scenes. It is the scene title change wish which may not be used to add player names. Pipstickz 1 Quote
Root Admin Muratus del Mur Posted November 12, 2011 Root Admin Report Posted November 12, 2011 a few scenes were named by me with player names, on diffrent occasions, as a reward or gift or whatever it was to those players. It is forbidden for someone to name a scene with reference to his name by using a the subtitle name change wish. The names i gave with the playername in them are named either in the actual title as such or in the coordinates, something you cant change, so dont compare with those. Pipstickz 1 Quote
phantasm Posted November 12, 2011 Author Report Posted November 12, 2011 so is this scene going to be changed? Ledah, Watcher, Phantom Orchid and 1 other 1 3 Quote
Grido Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 It's not the player's name, why would it be changed? Phantom Orchid, Watcher and Pipstickz 2 1 Quote
