As some of you know, I've met a couple of people from the game off site and I was curious if anyone would by chance be interested in doing a USA meet up?

This is more or less to gather some opinions and maybe some ideas. This has been talked about before in the past but it ended up falling under.

I'd be up for it, depending on time and place.
With the US being so large, perhaps we could split up a "regional" meetup sometime, to ease logistics of travel.
But regardless of details, I'm willing to try.

Considering MD's game population, I don't think a "regional" meet-up would be possible, unless you mean just splitting the U.S. in half or something. In regards to the overall idea, I guess it would depend on the number of people willing to participate. If there aren't enough people motivated, it will probably just fall through again.

MD Beer happened a couple years ago in Romania... twice i believe?

I met two other folks IRL so far, and only due to a lasts minute issue with work, or it would have been four.
One of those was from "across the puddle", so a Meetup idea can work, if the stars align properly.
I say go for it. You never know.

As much as I would love to, I doubt I will be able to.

It might be neat if we could post a google map or something like that where those of us who want to can put a pin at our location. That way, we could kind of see whereabouts everyone is, and plan a get together or road trip visits. This would not necessarily be limited to USA either.

I'd love to do it! Anywhere on the central east coast would be easy for me. Midwest or NE or SE probably doable. Farther away would be doubtful.

Perhaps it would be best to try to meet up in conjunction with some sort of larger event, like SF convention or something.

I used to enjoy those, back when I had time....

So the thing to do would be post intentions to be at event X or Y and see who can meet up.

I've been to Roanoke's Rovacon twice, years ago....

I would love to do it. Where is the half-way mark? St. Louis? We have a lot to offer there. Budweiser Factory, The Spaghetti Factory which is a restaurtant, Six Flaggs, Museums, Caves, ect, ect, ect!

ohhh a USA MEET UP!!! I say you all come to my house so i dont have to go anywhere I live in IlliNOISE and am willing to travel to the surrounding 46 states or so... if works allows it.
