cloudflare ? maybe, maybe not

Featured Replies

Recently I noticed that MD is running quite poor and today I've got this :
504 Gateway Time-out

After some checks I found that the server might be choked up with requests from MD:
- I found ajax box.activeitem.php has even request that never end
- requests to ajax like ajax.livechat.php, sesflashvars.php, ajax.onlineusers.php are quite often, sometimes even more often then 1/sec and with times of 8-11 sec / request

Maybe it is not only cloudflare.

I feel this is probably unlikely, based on the logs. And more likely to be issues between the you-CF-MD link

Meaning that, the request was never properly completed and was dropped? the TCP connection never properly connected?

You seem to be saying two things here. "sometimes even more than 1/sec" You are saying that sometimes those requests are more than one a second? aka many times a second?

"with times of 8-11 sec / request" Meaning that its having 8-11 requests per second, or its taking 8-11 seconds to complete each request?

Time ... when I did the topic, so it took more then 20 minute.

And some requests took more then 8-10 seconds to complete having other requests spawned every second (or faster) and thus many failing.

I blame cloudflare: http://blog.cloudfla...ke-the-internet

Not only CF affected. I read on BBC that other networks received over 100gbs load. The attacks were epic.

Im only joking BFH, but during this period CF was their main target in an attempt to remove spamhaus, thusly we may have suffered issues while this was going on.
