Valldore Nal Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) The problem with using the ip is that you have to actually press the login link in order to login, which brings issues atm . Earlier i was getting the "Account has been suspended" message (using the ip ) Now i'm getting this : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 404 Not Found The server can not find the requested page: magicduel.com/layout.php (port 80) Please forward this error screen to magicduel.com's WebMaster. Root Admin Chewett Posted May 24, 2013 Root Admin Report Posted May 24, 2013 Yes, clear your DNS cache on your machine Windows can probably do ipconfig /flushdns Quote
Valldore Nal Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 already done it, problem still exists Quote
Root Admin Chewett Posted May 24, 2013 Root Admin Report Posted May 24, 2013 then its your upstream dns server and you need to wait a bit. Quote
Valldore Nal Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 Thought so, thanks for trying anyway. If it hasn't been resolved in a day or two i think i should talk with my provider Quote
Root Admin Chewett Posted May 24, 2013 Root Admin Report Posted May 24, 2013 Thought so, thanks for trying anyway. If it hasn't been resolved in a day or two i think i should talk with my provider DNS propagation can take due due to multiple levels of caching and bad ISP's not respecting TTL values. meaning: bad isp does bad things, meaning bad things. Try another browser maybe? Quote
Valldore Nal Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 Sorry, forgot to mention that i already tried Chrome and IE apart from Opera that i'm using, didn't work either. So yeah, prob an ISP problem Quote

Kaya Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 Several free DNS servers that already seem to work with MD: Opendns (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) Google public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) Tunlr (192.95.16.109 and 142.54.177.158) Each of the pages explains how to use them (though it's pretty much the same for all of them.) Before trying those you should try typing "ipconfig /flushdns" in the command line, unless you don't mind using a different DNS server regardless. Quote
Root Admin Chewett Posted May 25, 2013 Root Admin Report Posted May 25, 2013 By now the only problem people should be having is that their helpful OS has cached the DNS. the above ipconfig command should fix this issue on windows. for linux, google it :) Quote
Valldore Nal Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 (edited) Actually i'm still having issues to login ...... Tried the dns servers provided from Samon (with a flushdns with every change) but those didn't work either for some reason ... Did some research regarding your comment about TTL as well Chewett (i had no idea what it was :P ) seems that my ISP has a SOA minimum TTL of 24h (guess i'm going to find out about the maximum time unfortunately .... ) If anyone have any other idea, i'm open to suggestions Edited May 25, 2013 by Valldore Nal Quote
