Loyalty reduction after joining an alliance with nominated leader

I joined Legend Speakers again, but to do so I lost like 30k loyalty points. I am not asking for my loyalty points, but I  suggest that you not longer lose loyalty points for joining an alliance with a nominated leader.

This is particularly odious as he only went in and out because he was "killed".  He did not exit voluntarily, nor by expulsion, and rejoined immediately.

I might be wrong, but I think that measure was intended to make alliance takeover less easy.

maybe, but that is not needed when there is a nominated leader, as he keeps the leadership anyways.

I disagree, consider it a price for showing your commitment to your badge.

I lost over 100k after being killed, but I think it is a fair cost to rejoin the ally I care about.

And I paid it too, I didnt hold my invite waiting.

There does seem to be a discrepancy or unbalance in the difficulty of gaining loyalty and the ease of losing it in this way, but I'm not sure what could be done to correct it either.
