  1. That is right everybody. It's time - for a tourrrrrnament! To celebrate the new combat system (particularly as it may not last the month) lets celebrate it with a good old fashioned tournament. Settle rivalries, set to random, and best of all forget to heal your crits - we'll have it all. Current rules are: Any creatures allowed Spells and other effects on your character forbidden 0% influence If possible, tokens and shards will be disabled. If not, they won't! Best of 5 - the player with the coolest name (as decided by me in the random matchups) goes first Bribery and match fixing are not forbidden, but will also they will be... penalised. Rewards? Is participating in a tournament, an actual potential quest made by me, Ledah, not enough? We will have to see, maybe Wishpoints, but if we get enough players I may put up use of a kill item, a creature spawned by my Primordial (especially the super cute skull kid) when the time is right. Gold, rare crits, the use of my terrible skills in forging an item - that is all to be decided! So what are you waiting for? Express interest TODAY and who knows, maybe this will happen.
  2. I like the new system more than the old one, but I am not sure it is generally speaking, as practical for raising creatures. I'd like to see the old system stay as-is (or perhaps, only giving wins but no stat rewards?). I'd like to see the new system give greater rewards, as it does take longer and is much more PvP. I can see the new system being used for tournaments, like we used to have, for roleplay as well. I sort of see the old system fights as a passing comment, whereas the new one is trying to win a debate - it takes longer, more effort, and so should be the more rewarding of the two. TLDR: Keep both ;)
  3. Fair point on the reserve, I hadn't thought of that. Auctions can be extended more than once - if you check the third image, which is just the listing of the anni Elu, Fang has extended it twice for 24 hours as per the log. You can't withdraw from an auction if the reserve is not met and you are the lead bidder. I could set an auction with a 1,000,000 gold reserve and keep it extending it to lock up funds, based on what I have seen so far. The lead bidder would never be able to withdraw their funds. PS: I do like the idea of a cancellation fee Aelis, I think cancellations are capped now though, but have not checked properly.
  4. First things first - I have previously abused the auction for evo points, as announced. Now that is out of the way, it has been mentioned before but the auction is open to abuse in a few ways. Those being: "Fake" listings to obtain evo points, from both listing, bidding, and selling - bidding has already been fixed with a previous change Maliciously setting up listings and extending deadlines to lock up other players resources For point 1, I have attached some recent examples - see how the player repeatedly does the same auction with a short timeframe, so they can re-list it. See how they have also cunningly then put a different creature up after doing the same thing a couple of times - very subtle. This same player then, presumably, has put up another auction, with of course a secret reserve price. They then allow the one that was not bid on by me to lapse, the Worry of Wanderes, but have repeatedly extended the ones I have - why, for what cause? I wonder. I propose solutions to all of the above: Cap the amount of listings someone can do to 10 per week - that seems generous Remove the ability to set a reserve price - you can already set a starting price, that can be used as a reserve essentially, it is also, more importantly, public information Either remove the ability to extend an auction (which is an unnecessary feature in my opinion - if it is so important to sell, re-list it) OR if an auction is extended and the reserve not met, allow the bidders to withdraw funds, including the one in the lead For point 3, I am more in favour of removing extensions entirely, as otherwise even if the reserve is met you could still extend the deadline to lock up funds. I'm interested to hear from people, particularly @Fang Archbane
  5. This is off-topic, but I feel it is only fair to put my view across. Essentially, yes, I told The Forge exactly what to do using my personal papers. I was never able to get past the moderator, so I wasn't able to get the function I wanted, but the item creation itself generally I was mostly able to control fairly well. I understand it was not appreciated and that I took it too far in my experiments. Just to say, I have never had the ability to edit item names or descriptions to my knowledge - I had A25 and only really used that to implement the scenes for The Foundation, but I gave that up some time ago when life meant I could not consistently spend time helping to add to MD. Plus adding my name to the long list of people to fail/give up on finalising the Shattered Apparation quest. Everything I did apart from that, The Foundation that is, any player could as it was done using normal means and items, earned/gifted/bought etc. by myself. That continues to be the case today. Although you could argue what I have done in the past helped with The Forge. More on-topic, giving the ability to edit names and description is quite an odd thing to want, as you can already request typos being changed, including the occasional \. I also like to think the randomnees in item names, especially the ones from the evo shop for example are part of the value - you can also wait to re-roll the evo shop names if it is very important to you.
  6. Enabling email notifications for in-game PMs again - SMS is nice, but very few people tick the box. Letting me mark crits as to not be saccable - although maybe the accidental sac is a feature.
  7. A spell that lasts 3 days. Presumably with 4 regenerable charges. So it can block someone from gathering for almost the entirety of the period the spell takes to regenerate. Assuming only one person is using said spell on one individual - otherwise it blocks them from gathering permanently if multiple people do so. Made for a special group of people only. With no actual restrictions. Despite existing legislators only lasting 24 hours, and only working on public tools, not earned private tools. This seems like a very generous and intelligent idea, from an equally generous and intelligent mind.
  8. It is a shame... you would have thought CARD members would err on the side of caution instead of potentially depleting... but another member has done so - twice. So I don't think ignorance is a viable excuse at that point for this particular individual.
  9. That is an old skill I picked up accidentally as a result of a typo, from a quest. I do, however, demand a single gold farting grasan for each point of defense lost.
  10. It works perfectly. I now also have an adorable little skeleton monk. SFW this time, too.
  11. For me, I bought the one from the MD Shop with credits. I bought the other from the WP shop using a WP. I have 2 slots now, and have used up 1 of 2 slots. I can't see any way to create another new pet myself, which I want to, like I could before creating my first.
  12. As the last leader of the alliance I think that Aelis would indeed lead the Caretakers in an interesting direction, and therefore support his leadership bid.
  13. I agree with this forum post. The forum is the only place safe from people spamming for a single evo point. That cannot stand.
  14. I also have the same issue. I want to generate more innocent looking pets/primordials.
  15. The Craft: What trade or combination of trades does your creation represent? The most noble trade - That of a Toy Maker - bringing joy to all around with such wonderful creations and games. The Materials: What did you gather? 1x Dead Mouse, our subject to base the toy on 2x Imprinted Darks, for eyes to replace the empty sockets 1x Mechanical Heart, to replace the dead one 1x Bit of Stuffing, to pad out the hollow interior 1x Secret Ingredient, that brings it all together - a trade secret, you understand The Creation: What are you attempting to create? I am attempting to create a wonderful toy, a reanimated mouse - one some poor child perhaps lost, an old pet. After all, most know the pain of losing a childhood pet - not so with my marvelous creation. Spare your child the pain of losing a pet. The Method: Why should these materials become this particular creation? It is a coherent use for the materials, and I am a master of my craft. I usually create mirrors for people to ogle themselves in, this is much easier. The Purpose: What is the finished item intended to do? It is intended to be a lifelong companion - and wonderful conversation starter at dinner parties. The Result: What did the Forge actually produce? Stitched Mouseling with Mirror-Eyes A palm-sized plush mouse sewn from patched cloth and pale teddy-stuffing, its small body faintly warm and softly ticking where a gear-wound heart nests beneath the seams. Two beads of swirling Imprinted Dark are set for eyes, their blurry image shifting to face whoever stands nearest. A whisper of white powder is worked into the stitchwork, and the whole toy hums with a charge it does not spend — the surge condensed into its very substance and marked upon it.
  16. Just stepping in on the stat thing - combat stats can always be countered with skillvamp and other auras. High VE cam be countered with certain auras too. There is already a certain level of balance. Massive numbers are only for bragging rights imho.
  17. I suspect it correctly identified me as King of the Dead given my years of roleplaying as such. I am happy to bestow my name, and therefore a piece of myself in this way.
  18. Creatures: Any four creatures you want to use Standard Angien - Max Stage Tainted Angien - Max Stage Sunless Apparition - Max Stage Unnumbered Apparition - Max Stage Creature stage: What stage each creature should be All max What you feed it: Other creatures, ANY item, heat, or anything else you think could have an effect Equal measures Reality Shards and Heat. Fed as soon as possible, to keep it well fed. It is initially created with the item - Ledah's Staring Frame, Condensed. Description below: Description Result: What do you think the Primordial Pet should become? An Angien that is as rooted in reality, such that it could be a player, not merely an aspect of one. Balanced in a sense with heat it was fed and the Liquid Dust the Apparations produce - a nominally balanced being, a master of mirrors.
  19. I prefer Primordials to Pets.
  20. Did you add words after the spell words? Those are the words that people then click to jump. Without any, that is what usually happens.
  21. Another depleter... CARD, please help us!
  22. I am sorry to say.... but it seems CARD does not respect its own rules!
  23. Hi all. Looks like the auction is being abused again for evo points - which is a terrible thing. Especially after the warning went out. Or are we still allowed to do this?
  24. Now, I haven't read the original post, but if there was something about there being a week leeway in there, I am sure I, as a potential keen candidate, albeit one who isn't bothered either way, would have read the post in its entirety and understood that. Either way, if this group does intend to punish depleters as per previously reference original post, it would be nice to see the group as a whole needing more evidence than the old but gold: "Just trust me, bro."
  25. You already have legislators for shared items. I would say something like this is better as a community effort, than a dedicated role. I look forward to seeing CARD develop!
