The Caretakers have been dissolved. There seems little point in letting the tea go cold as well.

Before announcing this gathering, I want to acknowledge those who have spoken in support of the alliance and its members. Thank you for remembering the care you received and the work you witnessed.

I know there is anger and hurt surrounding recent events. An invitation to tea cannot settle those concerns, nor do I ask anyone to set aside legitimate objections. I would simply like to give us an occasion to gather, remember, and decide for ourselves what we carry forward.

You are welcome if:

• You were a Caretaker

• You received care from us

• You witnessed our work

• You are inclined to share a table

Bring a memory, an amusing story, or a thought about something worth preserving. Quiet company is equally welcome.

There will be:

• No judging of the alliance or its end

• No prizes, pledges, or recruitment

• No expectation that attendance implies allegiance or position in ongoing disputes

• Room for affection, disappointment, and laughter

• Compassion for different perspectives

I ask only this:

Leave personal attacks outside. We need not agree to sit together.
