Thanatopic Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) An as of yet Untitled Work of Poetry I want a woman who smells like the storm. No, I want a woman who surrounds me like a storm. A woman who can light up the darkness of my night. A woman who can strike the tinder of my heart, and set it, like a wildfire, ablaze. A woman who can fill the raucous silence of my mind with the peal of her name. A woman who can fall against my skin, at once cool and refreshing. Give me Love, the unremitting love the Sky gives the Earth, And I will soak you up like the Ground does the Rain. Edited May 7, 2009 by Thanatopic Change 1 Quote
semaj Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 My dearest daddy 'I love you', I think of you each day. I feel your arms around me, that's how I get through my days. Your looking down upon me, to guide me on my way, but its very hard without you, each and every day. People always tell me, the grieving will subside. But how can it get better, without you by my side. No matter how hard they try, to help me with this pain, I am all consumed by thinking, It will never be the same. I know one day we'll meet, in the Heavens up above. It's the one thing that helps me, to never forget your love. My dearest Daddy, I love you, Your with me every day. I will keep this love within me, until that beautiful day... Change 1 Quote
lightsage Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 Torment Waves crushing on the shore, Each one like a spire through my heart, Wind blowing the sand into my eyes, Each grain making me see, The sun shining on my skin, Each beam leaves me cold, For precious time of love is lost, With each crushing wave, For love is blind, With each grain of sand, And your smile, Makes me feel warm inside, My heart healed, And my love blind again. ~Lightsage Dedicated to Camilla Change 1 Quote
Fawe Posted June 28, 2009 Report Posted June 28, 2009 And as I rose above the clouds, above the sky, above the earth I wondered what it was worth To sacrifice important things To meet important queens and kings At this point, I could've wept But for some reason, my emotion kept Then I started falling, then I leapt Then I wondered why I slept. I entitle that, "Slumber". Good thing Grido bumped this topic. Thanks! Change 1 Quote
smartalekrj Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 ooo my turn.... ummmm there once was a boy from nantucket, who couldn't find a girl that wanted to ....... oh wait hmmm ooo This Loneliness I feel is becoming an Excursion of my Patience. The Pain in My head. The thoughts of going to Bed. Wishing someone was there, But there isn't anyone.... Anywheres!!! hehe i know i'm awesome hmmm what else do i gots. The pain is harsh. The urge feels deeper. To desire to hold. The want to make you my keeper. For at this instant it cannot be. At the present I cannot be me. Other's frustration making a scare. Of kindhearted love's melodic affair. My throbbing will stay deep inside. Only for you I will confide. The surge of inquiries arise within. I have no indication on how to begin. My thoughts aren't shrill enough to hear. To view you differently brings me immense fear. You saw my tenderness somehow dancing. Now I recognize I can't conceal my thoughts from you. You will spot me sitting nearby glancing, Within your eyes I cannot stand to feel blue. It's a glance you will constantly know. A sensation inside that desires to show. I like the way you gaze at me. Within myself I suffer vast glee. When I stare into your eyes. I cannot stand to clutch any lies. The more I'm with you the added calmness I feel. Like a dream I don't recognize if this is real. I hope I start to grasp your attention. And just in case I didn't mention. You make me feel content all the way through, I just hope I do the same for you too. Again my pure awesomeness at work... hmmm what else Is it meant to be my goal and intention. To find true love in its perfection. To know within uncertain eyes, beyond the doors most certain enterprise. As I look in aspiration, I would not dare want this to end in devastation. Though my words are sweet and innocent, could they make someone so special feel so different? In all life's controversial melodies, Can I find someone that truely likes me? All questions that go without a tune. I wonder if I will find my true love soon. Could it be you?, That will make my heart feel true? Please tell me you are true an this is not a game...Your words have shaken my soul..Awakened it from a long lonely sleep...There is a tune to your melody it is my heartsong...The destiny of a love thats true is one that will be brave enough to reach out to what is offered unconditionally...What is in store for you is yet to be seen...But felt by the heart.. Felt by the heart.. The most emotional part. In it there is both love and hate. It also has the ability to decide fate. I cannot control my inner emotions affair. To want to love and want to care. The pain of thoughts protrude my thinking. Staring blanky, not blinking. Searching for who I'm meant to see. My yearning grows and I can no longer let it be. what was once no bigger than a grain of sand, Is now bigger than a strip of land. I know is life has its own destiny. I just want to know what it has in store for me. Change 1 Quote
Blackwoodforest Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 (edited) And a few lines from myself: Marinds little poem Once there was but many girls, A young lady with her twirls, To lead a story quite solid, The ladies name there was Marind. A carnival grown round her round, To twist her mind with evil sound. Finally then she changed her mood, because of the small and wooden cube. Liquid shadows move around, In her dreams they even found, her walking through the md land, seeking out – a helping’ hand. Now´s you turn to help that maid, To uncurse her unknown fate. Play the game and you will know, What the future´s going to show. => this one has been made just from an instant idea to provide Tarq a poem, and I had my thought on that little girl... Blooming days Once there was a lonely tree, guarded by his friends, thats we. A guardian left to brief his mind, has left another guard behind. Then there came a smirkingly clown, her feet had baby coffins us there shown; tried to harm the wooden friend; but the guard a message sent. He called for help the other guards, The came swiftly with strong arms. The villain had at least not choice, just break it up and make some noise. To say a thank to his guard, The wooden friend gave him reward. He bloomed for him in all his glory, This day wont be forgotten ,don’t you worry. => explains itself while reading, depending on a true story that happend a few minutes ago. all copyrighted by myself
Blasphemy! Rockistah Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Sanctuary As distance grows between us I could only set you free, like a driftwood floating to the sea So they say time waits for no one is it something I must fear? For wait’s too long to be so near I would keep on believing on the promises we’ve laid I would keep on reminiscing There’s more than I could say As the time become so precious I would come to realize, that persistence pays for all I’ve cried And I know that you’ll be with me, and the sun will soon arise And by then I know I’ve gained the price But by then I’d keep pretending and I’m holding on just tight I’ll forget the flight of seasons for I know I’ll win this fight No one rocks my cradle of tranquility No one breaks the ties that we’ve sworn to be No one rolls my center of eternity Cause you’ll always be my sanctuary *This is something I wrote about how i feel inside the sanctuary - which is being free. Free in the sense that you know that you cannot be hurt, where you will be untouched, and that this place is my resting ground* Change 1 Quote

Kyphis the Bard Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) Dust In the beginning, there was dust. It spun, and hung like stars upon the air. Like a twinkling nothing, the sparkle in a fathers eye. It was a very long beginning. From the dust, arose an idea. With a spark of life, it grew and branched out. Like a creeping vine, it set down roots. It was a very good idea. From the idea, came the world. Full of love, of life and death. Full of waves, and windy cities. Full of time, of day, and night. Of blazing creatures, and furious flight, pealing thunder, and roaring might. A wild world, a vast world, a full world. A home. It was the very best home. From outside this world, back in the dust it grew from, arose a person. Are you a good person? Do you even need to be? Edited May 24, 2010 by Kyphis the Bard Change 1 Quote
Tarquinus Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Delight of the razor This is fine, an edge of wit advanced in whispers on your skin, and only you have all of it: my hopes, my laughter, and my sin. In sunlight’s peaceful lassitude I chart your body’s golden map, my dark devotion soft renewed, crepuscular, without collapse. So in this twilight I divine the path to your unmarked reprieve, and softly shall my razor shine, silent, too, my love to live. Curiose Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Hello. Hello again you're at my door, And I can't find a word to say. So fleeting, so miserable; I'm lost within your glare. So hello again, my dear old friend, everlasting companion. ~~~~~~~~~ It's me again, I'm back for more. It's sad that the day has come today, to bring you the news of woe; to say the one you loved died of frost No, please, don't give me that stare. Hello, it's me again, I've come to say: this is the end. You're the one I must abandon. ~~~~~~~~~ I'm sorry, your words intrude and I can't find why they sting. Disappearing, flaunting, malicious; I'm clouded inside your heart. Oh, yes, I'm sorry, my sweet loved one, sweetest darling dear. ~~~~~~~~~~ I'm sorry, that my words be so prude, so base, they almost lie; So let me ring; this death is daunting, and for that, 'come shrouded from fear at the start. Yes, I'm sorry, but no more, I'm done. My eyes are now clear. [It may seem as though it is one person talking to another, as though it is a single conversation, however, the first line represents the initial speaking, whereas the second, is the reaction. It is about war, a man going off to fight for his country. The tension between the two is almost bitter; love affair arises thus, causing them to break. The first would want it to go on, wheras the second, wanting to break away. I'd have to say this is one of my best works.] My Safe box. I'm a square little fella, that's what they say I stay in my box, I stay there all day. I stay in this box, so safe that it is I keep from that world because it is His. I'm so safe in my box, which I call home Sad in this world that keeps me tied to this dome. The world is so round, so easy to spill Not like my box, my box by the hill. I stay in my box, I stay there each night Each time I peek out, I see a large fight. Oh so safe is my box, I love it so much Unlike this world I can't use as a crutch. They say I 'm a square little fella, that's what they say I can't disagree cuz I was built just that way. [I wrote this... a couple years ago. It's about safety, and innocence. The box represents a small space where nothing can penetrate, it's logical and sturdy, impenetrable, almost. The outside world represents unstable, and messy, completely opposite of the box. The 'Character' itself, is independent, and sure of itself, and doesn't care for what others think.] Change 1 Quote

Tonight I sharpened my knife, A dark entity roams around you, My wound could not heal by itself, And so as yours will be too. My face is as drenched as the oceans, Oh my dear Marind, I beg for your forgiveness, Your blood is so sweet, I could not resist You wished your life to be spared as you insist. As I went inside the house next to the sign, I see your naked body as it make trails on the ground, Your beautiful face makes me shiver, And it will always be now that you're here with me forever. Esmaralda Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) I wrote these a while back, but since I just discovered this thread (by walking around the Archives), I figured I'd drop them here.
