Pff .. why do people need to use names like Wizard of and Shades in their stories that defines their role?
Everything that happened in that period is in AL and you are not in there, i am sorry to say this to you, but your story with Wizard and Shades is a lame one..
People..be more inventive..come with something new ad stop bounding your stories with the ancient LR, especially when it is connected with old AL.

when you start to make up stories, at least make them according with your MD age/AL events or things like that... a bit more real (not referring to you personally but for all those that like to use important/fancy names from MD history, thou they never where in that period )

That was the fun from it .
All players from all lands should start to meet and make a tactic of their land and we will all have a lot of fun during TC. ( at least the ones that are not interested in prize especially but in their land pride ).
This contest is meant to give us so much fun, only if we try to play it and come with tactics and actually have some enemies
I don't speak of doing what LR had done ... 40 vs 16-17 is a HUGE amount of points ...( meah..we had..i can't find the word) but of coming with tactics to contra-attack the enemy and start to[b] [color="#8b0000"]PLAY[/color][/b] [u]not [b]RP[/b][/u] the game

That it is called teaming up to fight for your land, only the main accounts participated, this can't be qualified as a cheating, but as a good team up between the alliances that fight for their land.
Torch Competition is about between land fights.
It is a tactic to win against others, this tactic as we can see was used and got LR a huge score and they got to say it all loud they are champions with this tactic..bad move
Ailith, you were the only one to defeat your land and to attack the ones with other torches...i suppose in here you have my opinion in how to defeat this tactic until TC will have more specific rules about how it should be played.
Indeed i suppose when the citizen system will be implemented things will change. -

Fenrir, it is BAD to ask people to find bugs, report them to you for a creature and after you had fun with the bugs come like a saint to Mur and explain the bug.
If you pass over a bug, this should be immediately reported and not shared with others and get profit over it. It is against the rules and could get you banned.
How you report a bug? Send a mail to manu@magicduel.com with full description of that bug.

PS: post the picture with you near your snowman work, or if you don't want to be in the picture, make a BIG MD on the snowman or something that will show it is original and not a picture taken from the internet.

About the calendar...
In the last month Awii sent to me, we spoke about including the AL events / dates, make it with a MD feeling not only outside. The AL was supposed to be the official one, wrote by Mur... The Order will take this task and make a list of the AL events for the calendar, will be submitted to me ..so whoever has any ideas regarding this subject or similar/ magic events please, i wait your pm's, thank you.
Also, we should all start using the md-archives, it is a site dedicated to all of us , not for the archivies ally only , but to archive our achievements. -

Yes, again, why DEDICATE an award to someone that did something that did not lasted at least 1 year ? something that vanished with the player identity ? And vanished at the beginning of this year, not the ending ..at least so you can say 'this year'
Outstanding work is osmething that lasts for more then 1 year, and in it's original form...but i might be wrong at this..as my standards are very exigent -

I attack since i see the MDNP that is your job to keep it up-to-date and monthly not being so, because i see you wanting something thou you can't accomplish those things, but you desire to...

It is not about leadership but mostly about what have you done, how active you are, how dedicated you can be, and how much you like what you do, not what title you can get.
The one jumping around like chickens, to me, are not the ones that done things and admitted they are not able to accomplish what it is requested from them, because they have some other things to do, or simply because there is not enough time for it.
The paper .. i always saw the paper an independent one..not bound to an ally/land/friend..anything...because then we would have the subjectivity and objectivity , but when a human is implied, indeed you can't expect neutrality .
I think that you can be active on the issue for 2 days, beginning of the month or the end of it and then leave it to the others. It is easy, indeed to give orders and wait for things to happen.
Again, i am like this, angry on you, because of what a wonderful paper could have been, if you would have been active and had the reporters spread all over MD watching interesting subjects...(I don't mean the pregnancy stupidity that you are about to write an article about) -
before anything else : you failed in keeping an up-to-date newspaper... what would change that?
Logging in everyday to keep the active days and idle?
Entering from time to time on forum or in game and trying to catch up ?
I am sorry but i find this revolting... the only one who made the archivist job and master archivist job is Awii and i think we all agree on this.. at least because of him we had calendar, memories and man other things .. not because of the others. (and i am speaking about present, not things from 1-2 years ago. ) -

Excuse me... Calyx was not in MD this year ..so this i found out of date. Not that the paper is on date..considering last release and the months between them... -

After you all finish the rant maybe you also start to make something and put some more interest in what it is in the PRESENT developing .
Also the enchanted poems is part of the spell docs..development status : paused because you all like to rant and complain then do something. -
If we look back, because of the old al that was written by someone else, Mur decided to close it and write it on his own.
As he has more things to do it needed to be put on pause.
AL it is not something to fill with 'tales' especially fantasy ones from papers; I am here for a long long time and i saw how real AL is written and how things happen to be in an order, how an end of a story is the beginning of an other, regardless of how long it takes or if there is something planed or not. Things in the AL (beside the story written by archis) are simply happening and follow an unwritten order that not even the writer or the character inside is constient of some times.
We can all have our tales , separately from the AL , that's why we have the papers .. to fill them with tales that might complete our character and that's why i think that we should keep this thin line between paper stories and AL ones. As you saw, the paper stories come to a disaster to the AL and what it was supposed to be.
I say that AL will continue when it will be time for it. Believe it or not, things happen at their time, even in MD, i have been witness to that.
AL is not something to fill with stories, but something that looks it's own story line, so ..when nothing is happening it is not a panic moment that needs to be filled with tales, but a simple break, that maybe prepares it's public for a new exiting story.- Elthen Airis, Jubaris, Liberty4life and 3 others
