1. Remember you have friends here. Do what you must, but know that you are loved.
2.
Yes, but will it count the highest five before the values added from the sacrifice, or after? Will it reset the principles as soon as the sacrifice button is pushed, or reset the principles once the new values from that particular sacrifice is calculated?
Before, or that's how it worked for me.
3. You and Horse will be missed.
4. Critiquing poetry is always sensitive business. I reserve most of my comments. However: Ailith's poem has the most interesting structure. Phantom Orchid's poem has the most vivid imagery, and is on all counts very well written. I voted for both. I was tempted to vote for Ignatious for the humor... and the reference. ~Keith
5. My thanks to Malaikat Maut for running this quest, which forced me to think hard, research harder, and best of all, learn. Captain X'hal - I suspect Malaikat Maut did not have a "correct" answer, for if he did, few (if any) would have had a chance at divining it. From my conversations with him, which are ongoing, I gather he is most interested in the reasoning behind an answer: for he delights in the cycle of debate, almost in a Socratic sort of way. I have to congratulate him on not having set his mind and thereby prejudiced himself to a certain kind of answer. I feel assured he will be happy to engage you in dialogue on this subject or almost any other.
6. Congratulations to the winners: well done.
7. Rescheduled for tomorrow.
i know i am sticking my neck outhere but i was just wondering about it so here it is *chuckles* let me know what your are thinking:)
Evil is found in all places, milady Tara: often in the midst of those who think themselves decent and moral. Evil does not need its own capital. It is right at home already.
9. Mur, do what you need to do. You are right to follow your intuition. Know that those of us who are loyal to you will remain so, and remain grateful for all your efforts.
10. Happy birthday, my friend.
11. Story night continues. I will hold another one at 22:00 on server day 311 and 4:00 on day 312. All are welcome to come hear and/or tell stories at Fortune's Well. There's not usually a prize, though I've seen a WP awarded for an outstanding story before (I don't have any to give myself). ~Keith

My sentiments exactly. Thanks also to Z for putting it together - marvelous work! - and to Peace and him for being the delivery squad that helped put a smile on Mur's face.
14. Author's Note - make sure you have read the Story Night Disclaimer before you read any legends. -Keith What you are about to hear never happened, but it is true. Whether you believe it or not does not matter. If you listen with an open mind and an open heart you may perceive such wisdom as applies to you. Once in the land of MagicDuel there was a girl named Marind. She was a beautiful girl with a melodious voice; she had a knack for getting everything she wanted, and was very spoiled. She was also very talented, and at an early age showed the potential to become the greatest sorceress who ever lived. When an indiscreet tutor told her the extent of her talent, she became consumed by the ambition for power. By adolescence Marind had already mastered all the magical secrets of Loreroot, Necrovion, and Golemus Golemicarum. She could change the map of her world to her will; she could create beings from air, dust, and water; and she could destroy a thing utterly with a glance. But these wondrous powers were not enough for her, and her ambition burned brightly inside her for more. She cast her powers beyond the realm of MagicDuel, and discovered other worlds. She met the goddess Athena, who taught her tactics, the rule of law, and subtle magic. She met the wizard Merlin, who taught her the resonance between all things that live and die, and the cycle of power that leads to greatness, and the cycle of shame that leads to suffering. She met the god Nyarlathotep, who taught her much of betrayal, cosmic order, and Ultimate Truth. And then she met a being unlike any other she had yet encountered: Dream. Dream showed Marind that all worlds and all powers, possible and impossible alike, existed in his domain. When she mastered the secrets of one cosmos, he could show her another: and never was her thirst for knowledge and power quenched, for each new answer raised new questions, and each new world implied the existence of another. Marind greedily consumed the knowledge Dream provided her, and her powers grew beyond the understanding of mortal beings, and she became an entity before whom gods trembled. It came to pass that Marind sought her roots, and sifted through the millions of universes Dream had showed her, looking for the place whence she had come. But so many were alike, and so many seemed familiar, that she found she could no longer recall where she had begun. And then, in a shadow realm among many others like it, she encountered the ghost of a young woman trapped in a wooden box. And she asked the woman, “Who are you?” because the woman seemed familiar, though Marind could not say exactly how or why. And the woman replied, “I am the ghost of Marind, slain at the height of my beauty. Who are you, before whom even gods tremble?” And Marind could not remember her name, or her purpose, or say for what reason she had amassed so much cosmic knowledge and power. She passed into the deepest depths of Dream’s realm, where even gods may not go, and became a force of the interlaced relations whence all things originate and whither all things must end. But her ghost remained in the cube, beckoning to travelers in the realm of Dream, challenging them with a mystery and instructing them in the paths of knowledge. And this much is given us to understand.
15. May I have your attention, please: you have come to an event sponsored by the Legend Speakers of the MagicDuel Archives. You will not hear facts here, but you might hear truths. Please do not confuse the two, which are not always the same. We are here to entertain, and perhaps instruct you: but we are not here to provide you with clues to the mysteries of the land of MagicDuel, except, perhaps, such mysteries as are posed by the hearts and minds of its inhabitants. You will NOT hear "canonical" or official MagicDuel lore, so please do not take the things you hear at this event as the basis for theories about the history of the land of MagicDuel, insights on the mechanics of its spells, or clues to its puzzles. On behalf of the Legend Speakers, I welcome you to Story Night, and I hope you will be entertained.
16.
Add this ones as well. The right side panel doesn't works for me
I'm getting the same error on the right-side panel.
17.
was lifeline and dst match very close ?
dst rebounded from a loss to Lifeline to force a deciding match. It was close and well fought. I may post the log of the deciding fight at a later time.
18. The Tournament in honour of Knator Commander is concluded. Thanks to all for participating... the final round between dst and Lifeline was most exciting. Winners of the MP5 division First Place: Lifeline Second Place: dst Third Place: Mya Celestia Captain Cryxus X'hal and I deem this Tournament to have been a success... and best of all, good fun. All hail Knator Commander!
19. Thanks to you all. We will initiate round II at 23:00-00:00, allowing flexibility for everyone.
20.
is it possible to get the battle logs of the fights if asked ?
Yes. I will post or PM battle logs to interested parties. It might be fun to try describing these fights like football games or boxing matches.
21. It's more than ok, Cap - we'd be thrilled to have ya. ~Keith
22. Beginning on Day 300, the Legend Speakers will revive the Story Night tradition at Fortune's Well. Stories will be told at 00:00 and 04:00. I (Keith) will try to be present for the first telling period, but the second is really much more convenient to my schedule. If you have a story to tell, a poem to read, or a philosophical point to ponder, come and join us. I can offer no incentive but the chance to mingle with other characters and hear the tales they wish to tell. I have stories from dst, eigger, and Blackwood Forest; hopefully one or more of them will come to share with us. General Storytime Guidelines

The stories should be fictitious, or if based on facts, loosely so. The Legend Speakers are a division of the Archives, but we are not Archivists in the strict sense.
The stories should, ideally, be true: not factually true, but morally or existentially true. Think of the myth of Midas, whose touch turned everything to gold - whether or not there was a real Midas is irrelevant to the point of the story, which is that gold of itself cannot bring happiness.
The stories should be aimed at a general audience. A little bit of foul language as dialogue is ok; pornography, graphic violence, and mindless pages of obscenity are not acceptable.
The stories should be written in a form that can be pasted comfortably in chat without running too far over the screen; that is to say, shorter stories will tend to keep the audience's attention better.
See you around. ~Keith Moon
23. The No-Tokened Tournament in honour of Knator Commander is at least a partial success, not least because of the arrival of the old General himself. Results: MP 3 First Place: february Second Place: H Third Place: Vrag february's surprise win was an exciting turn of events. I am sorry to say that asahina appears to have "thrown" the 3rd-place fight against Vrag: very bad form, which would have invalidated all wish points sent to that player had Cryxus and I not been so ready to give them out. MP 4 First Place: Rendril Revant Second Place: Poppi Chulloz The MP4 contest was a slight disappointment, as Totenkopf did not show. Rendril Revant and Poppi Chulloz received the listed awards. MP 5 Round II fights dst vs. Clock Master Mya Celestia vs. Lifeline Due to a dispute of the fairness of the MP5 draw, I decided on the fly to make MP5 contests the best of 3 matches: the players will attack and defend as listed above, and then the defenders will attack. If a deciding fight is needed, the attacker will be chosen randomly, as before. Since the MP5 contest is for the best of three fights, and as all remaining contestants are in alliances, please allow about 2 hours for the Round II matches to be completed. Round II will be held on Day 298. All remaining contestants, please post your availability here.
24. Ah, yes, good point. I hadn't thought of that. MP6 players may necessarily be excluded from participating, unless we can throw together an "unlimited" division at the last minute for alliance fighters.
25. I would like to add my voice to those congratulating Firsanthalas; and I would also like to take this opportunity to call for Loreroot solidarity. Whatever has transpired in the past, let it stay there. Let us show that whatever it has been, Loreroot is now proud of its strength in diversity, its commitment to collegial discourse, and its unity in all matters affecting the land itself and its people as a whole. I ask all Lorerootians to join me in showing support for the Speaker of the Forest.
