1. Thanks MRD, you're a true mate. You know I'd never take your alliance though it will always be yours in my opinion, and I shall always consider you a mentor. sincerely, ~Cryxus P.S. Thank you also Storm, I appeciate the input, as always
2. indeed it was most enjoyable, and the forces of attraction were in the air, as well as great company, and entertainment...Lucius, you and the CoE have outdone yourselves, and i'm glad i was a part of it... Cheers! ~Cryxus~
3. I appreciate you bringing this into a much more well-founded discussion. I will answer your questions out of order so I can process them as a more complete thought... "Do you feel that a pirate guild/alliance could fit in well with the MD world?" Yes, because pirates can exist in any circumstance, they are a subculture that every society eventually spawns after a certain point. They are people who work by their own means, whatever means they see fit, to gain what it is they want. I can't think of any society that relied on water travels, and bordered water, that didnt have pirates that came from it, not to say that there arent any, just saying if there are they are few and far between. I would like to mention pirates arent something that is created from any set thing, other than people's desire to work for a different means, and also for personal gain, and thus can really exist in any society, no matter what you call them, and whether anyone else thinks they "fit" there or not. "Why do you believe a pirate guild/alliance in MD would make the game better?" Yes I think the exploration we are pushing for would be a great boon of interest for the whole of the society. Also we hope to create a few tensions and make an alliance unlike the current alliances, in the regard that we are willing to shake things up. Like I mentioned, we are neither good, bad, or neutral but rather work towards a mean that benefits us. I think this would spawn plenty of player interst. "What kind of ideology do you pirates have? How do you fit the name, "pirates"?" We believe in working towards our own means, and it is hard to give you and example because this is a sort of "as we come to it" situation. There is not a set currency in the realm, which makes the concept or piracy a bit abstract to some, but there is wealth in other means. For example wishpoints, and information could persuade us to act in a certain manner, and maybe someone else comes at us from a different angle, we would weigh which is more benificial, and act acordingly. And the introduction was purposely vague because it is hard to say which endeavors we may decide to undertake, it will likely depend on the crew's input as well as my own, because ideally we will be a cohesive unit, and their opinion will weigh heavily on the actions the guild takes. And currently we do have a ship at Storm Harbor called "The Crimson Blade Ship" (the ship part on the end is a bit unnecessary, and the ship I envisioned was quite a bit larger, but I am happy just to have a ship that doesnt exist purely in an imaginary way) As far as the lands I plan to explore I am currently bouncing ideas between certain people of interest, and I have faith that once it is done it will be worthy of placing in MD and as far as "trading information better than the archivists" I didnt know they traded it, I know they keep it for their own interests, and sometimes documentation, but i plan on using information as a bargaining chip, as i bid others do with us to gain our favor. I think a culmination of all these things would make us an alliance worthy of MD, but hey, thats just a matter of my opinion and a few others, and really it is up to you to think whether it makes us worthy in your mind or not... ~Captain Cryxus X'hal of the Crimson Blade~
4. I still resent that you claim that i am playing my role in a less than befitting manner, but i hope to conclude this argument here. First off i would like to claim the sea as my home, but you can't stay out to sea for indefinite periods of time, you will eventually find a need to return to port. Second, i am only friendly terms with the alliances of GG, and i have grown to favor that land Third, it is a home~land~, not a home~place~ And why would i find the need to make treaties i dont need to make? If we live peacefully together, so be it, if they dont like it, they can try and run me off. Why would i put stipulations on something i can just do? And i still dont feel im crompromising as such, i feel as i am making an educated choice given the circumstances, and if that is "ruining MD for you" what can i say other than that isn't my intentions? ~Cryxus~ P.S. just because i am using the current system does not mean i am compromising anything
5. Here, allow me to do you the honor of backing my argument ~even further~ where you cannot find anything to support your own. 1) History shows us it is very commonplace, if not necessary to have a home-port, a safe-haven where they can rest, resupply, spend their ill gotten gains, etc. 2) Golemus is the only landmasses with any beaches, so to speak, and a port the connects to open water. But despite these facts you say i am playing my role poorly? Who is insulting who now? If you just dont like the idea of a new idea, don't use feeble arguments to hide behind, come forward and speak your mind. Your reasons are not good reasons not to support this idea, and i am here to point that out, and if you dont like it, get used to it, its something i'm passionate about. And furthermore, don't insult my roleplaying when i have the FACTS that back up my point of view, whereas you don't ~Cryxus~
6. If you want me to insult you directly I will, but dont expect me to take it as personally as you seem to be. Most of what you say has no significance to what is being presented, and the reason I kept it impersonal is because people cant seem to grasps that my ship is based in Golemus, which is what ties us to Golemus, and it is what ties us to being pirates, and for that matter sailors. Besides, what do you care if Im based in Golemus, or "the open sea" or the "Sozzled Salamander" (one of the most ludacris things I've heard so far), its ridiculous. I have stated my reasons numerous times, and I have just said that if I could claim the open seas as my homeland, or even make an alliance with no homeland at all, I would gladly accept. If that is the sole reason why you cant accept the alliance then that is a poor argument. Find a real reason not to support the Crimson Alliance. ~Cryxus~
7. Glaistig mate, you're putting words in my mouth, and sorry I havent stopped by lately to throw my opinion into the mix. First off I would love to have an alliance that claims all lands as their own, or some other alternative, but the fact of the matter is I doubt Mur would make such a homeland simply on my accord, but I would be most grateful if he did. But since I have to choose a homeland I go with the one the makes sense. The simple fact of the matter is that I know I have the MR's support and I was fairly certain I had GG's support when yrth was heading it, and ~the ship~ from which ~we pirate~ is docked ~in Golemus~ I dont understand how you ~can't come to grips with that~. Long story short, if I could claim some other ethereal homeland such as "The Sea" I would be honored, or if I could claim some all encompassing homeland, I would be equally honored, but dont put it down because I suggest to base it in the location where our ship is quartered, for that is our only true tie to any land. And I swear anyone who suggests sailing in a pond again should be taken out back and beaten with a hose, it is a ridulous concept, and quite frankly demeaning both to my alliance, and your intelligence. ~Cryxus~
8. I have decided to hold a story telling at Wasp's Totem at 2:30 server time, and a retelling at Maple Road shortly thereafter for those who can't attend the first reading. Please come, and enjoy a tale told by myself ~Cryxus~
9. geeze you tell me to pop in and leave a comment i do and dont even post it...

...women.... ^_^

10. i think they allow html. Once you open the page editor it has an html tab at the bottom right of where you add the page content. I would just like to mention that i havent personally messed with my papers too much since the new editors because when they switched it messed up all the html coding i had already put into it, back when my papers looked REALLY good, and i was annoyed so i just decided to make my papers presentable, and then step away from the problem before i got really mad... but once i get around to waking up fully i'll tinker with some things, but i hope that works for you, also i sent you an announcement i hope you find useful. ~Cryxus~
11. mate, if you ever need help you can look me out, and i will help you in any way i can. Also you can leave me a message on the forums and ill get around to it after some time. ~Cryxus~
12. Frank Sinatra - Fly me to the moon i think that'd be another good addition
13. hey mate, im willing to help in which ever way is needed. I gotta admit a rather like the idea of actualy news being reported, because all too often certain, and in my opinion, important things get overlooked (like my ship being created, or the CoE, or any number of things that get recognized on the MD world level). Anyhow i believe you could always use another author for material and i would just like to step forward to tell you i am at your disposal. i could also do something like write a short story that is unrelated to anything, but is added just for extra content, if you want, anyhow we should get together sometime and talk. ~Cryxus~

Goodbye MD

it has been enjoyable, perhaps we will meet again...maybe we wont even know it...maybe we will...take care, and enjoy yourself ~Cryxus~
15. I am glad i for one am in the MRs and we arent participating...besides i dont think the treaty really solves anything because there isnt any ~real~ tension between the alliances, and if there were i still wouldnt want to be part of one that was in a treaty...the whole thing seems kinda pointless to me, i wanna be able to train however i see fit and if i wanna ask someone for wins, i'd just go to the dojo ~Cryxus
16. i'd be honored to come, as you very well know. Would it be alright if i prepare a story? If not ill stick to a speech. can't wait. ~Cryxus~
17. happy birthday buns...may many more come
18. im not gonna lie, im posting this because i got tired of the bickering taking place on another thread in this forum, and i would like to see more interest in the possibility of the creation of new guilds. In particular the Children of the Eclipse, followed closely by my own (c'mon i had to throw in a shameless plug...what are pirates if not shameless?).
19. dst...alcohol has already been involved...it was just one-sided (i dunno how many times i've played drunk ) and on a side note...tea and/or chocolate, ew! ...and also if you change the word man to woman and that sounds like my kind of fantasy
20. hey, ill fight you once im out of mp5
21. you got a problem with drunk men dst? and i thought we were buddies too :friends:
22. i personally like both sides, so i would prefer if they both remained alive, if not joined again ...when ever i think of this whole situation though i can hear the song "so happy together" and it makes it really weird... anyhow if Amoran had some way of asking for help, that is not a bad option, either ~Cryxus~
23. ...i didnt get nominated and i blame it all on you -_- ...i must now turn my back...

*turns his back on gargent* ... *turns back around* and let that be a lesson to you

24. one of my favorites, miss him dearly, i do hope he decides to come back around
