  1. Actually, I have been there (Illusions Test), and I have seen all 7 pyramids.

And in page 145... it's open to interpretation. Either he tells "her" he needs 6 more and she throws in ONE of the 6, meaning he needs 5 more, or he needs 6 more BESIDES the one she just threw in. But he asks for 6 more before she throws the one in, so I lean more towards the first interpretation.

I was reading the AL, not forums. Also, it's strange that he never took the pieces of paper. It's very likely they were the same 6 pages, and if Alce had taken them... well, speculation, but Akasha might have lost hers.

  2. Liberty, I don't see where Alce found the 6 papers, and I've read from the time he talked to Akasha to where he entered the Pyramid and became a flame and beyond at least three times.

Also, what is your evidence for Shade Sentinel finding the 7th document?

I myself believe that there are only 6 pages and 6 pieces, and that perhaps each page is a principle and each page is a principle. Also, perhaps the Shades were creating one of the pieces when they were throwing pieces into the piece? Perhaps they created one of the 6 principle pieces by using a spell that relies heavily or solely on one principle?

    The last bit is speculation.

  3. I agree with the theory papers, although instead of the papers being documents, I think each paper is a page of the Book of Principles.

Shade Sentinel mentions (it has already been posted above) that he needs 6 more papers... the 6 papers that Akasha took from the pyramids? Perhaps the second cube protected the Book of Principles, and is not in one piece, but in many pyramids and pages, and the Shades have part of the cube and are trying to put the rest together. A cube can be cut into many different pieces...

Anyways, I believe that the cube needs the pages of the Book of Principles and ALL pieces of the cube (one of which Knator Commander had) to be used effectively.

  4. Convenience... but everything you mentioned above CAN be solved by you.

    1. You can keep track of when you first got the creature, time, date, etc. Then you can predict when it will age (roughly... there are some factors... that change that)

    2. You can divide by 60 to see minutes and then again by 60 to see hours... I always have a calculator on hand anyways.

  5. The ability to use wishpoints has been available for longer than I've been playing... so... I want to change something old. Not to mention that it is in a development stage again, and so what better time to introduce new rewards than when Mur is already changing the way wishpoints work?

  6. Is there any way to have both chances for new players and fun for old players?

What I was thinking was a three stage type of deal:

    1. First stage, normal stage we have now. No past winners can take heads... etc. Ends at 2,500 points in every category

    2. Second stage, the let's-have-fun-and-mess-it-up stage. This is where we revert back to what the HC contest rules were before last month. Ends at 5,000 points.

    3. Third stage, the normal second stage we have now. No past winners can take heads. This would be a interesting stage, because depending on how stage 2 went, there could be a LOT of excess heads under the control of past winners. Or you could have it set that all past winners lose their heads at the third stage. Who knows? But I'm sure there is a way to integrate both types of Heads Contest...

  7. Solving a quest is not exactly roleplaying... most of them require only intelligence rather than playing a role.. so really there is no connection.

If you were, say, rewarded with stat bonuses for being a PWR that would be a different story. But as I see it, quests are not strictly roleplaying.

  8. Just a suggestion for a possible prize, and one that I would find very useful and save lots of time.

This could take one of two forms:

    1. A quick balance, and taking the higher of the two values to set the value. For instance, if I had 500 wins and 1000 losses, it would give me 1000 wins and 1000 losses.

    2. A boost in wins (very useful for mp4, mp5 who want to get the military paper or want to get back in balance). Not sure on the exact amount, but 500, 400, 250 sound about good.... It could even be a percent, say mulitplying your wins/losses 200% (x2) or 150, or another such percent.

Or going a different direction, if you feel a quick balance is not worth a wishpoint, you could say a balanced reset and a 50 % addition to your wins. For example, if you had 500 wins and 1000 losses, you would go to 1500 wins, 1500 losses. That might be a bit excessive though... Perhaps adding a lesser percentage? 25%? 10%?

I dunno, but if there is an exp reset in the wish shop, their ought to be a win/loss balance as well.

  9. Who says it can't do that? Of course you would be given a map of No Man's Land to begin with.

When you enter Marind's Bell you'll be given Marind's Bell as well.

I can't see any new person getting lost because they don't have a map of GG or Necro to begin with... they just don't need that yet.

  10. It could be explained that every time you open a door in the Magic Duel world, your scroll shows you the world that lies beyond.

This is a place of magic, why not a magical scroll? It's not as if each of us are creating the maps we keep around. For christ's sake, we get high so we can fight a tree.

  11. It wouldn't be that hard to do... Just like the Berzerker's Puzzle or some other thing like that, entrance into Loreroot, Marind's Bell, GG, and Necrovion could open up their map.

Although I suppose you gain the map from the Paper Cabin... and so a past explorer has already found everything before you.

But I really like this idea, it adds an element of mystery.

  12. I agree with dst and Chewett. Mur has better things to do than reprogram the game.

His time is better spent working on improving the game rather than spreading it to mobile phones.

And personally, I don't think it would be all that great... The last thing MD needs is text speak running wild because people are using phones.
