In this event of the Sparring Ground Championships, only the scariest of all creatures are allowed: Colorful ones! Only colored creatures may be used, tokens, influence and combo are not allowed. Of course, in the spirit of halloween, tricks are allowed, so use all the magic you can get your hands on Due to the power certain colored creatures have, i've got to limit rituals a little. You may only use one drachorn or one snowman. The variety of rituals may be limited, but the magics make up for that. We'll have the finals during the party time, therefor the sign up ends on 20th. This tournament will be a little more difficult than the former competitions. Generally, everything except for spells is allowed this time. Any shop creatures and tokens are allowed, as are tokens, combo and all that. However, and here's the fun bit, tokens that are used can change the behavior of your opponent greatly. As usual, it'll be a 1 on 1 tournament, and you win against an opponent by winning the outgoing as well as the incoming fight against them. The defender uses a ritual with 0% influence and announces a token count to the attacker. In this competition, anything is allowed. Spells, tokens, stats, whatever, you name it, you can use it. You just have to fight, stopping each other from doing that is not allowed. The specialty in this event is that it will be a team competition. All participants will have to split in two teams. Also, a captain for each team has to be appointed. The point is NOT to defeat the whole other team, though. I'll use a randomizer to create pairs of people and the desired outcome, win or loss. Sparring Ground Championships (SGC) proudly presents the Black and White Competition! In this event, nothing of any color is allowed. This means: [color=#FF0000]No tokens, combat influence/pray power, spells, combo, shop creatures, and other shop features whatsoever[/color]. Yesterday there was a somewhat heated discussion about what should be done, if anything about enforcing the Sparring Ground rules in Marble Dale Park. It was suggested that someone open a NEW forum topic about this issue and I said I would do it if no one else beat me to it. So here goes: The problem (as I see it) is that there are, at any given time, a few players who have read the rules, understand the rules, and refuse to follow them at all, which seems disrespectful of everyone else. Well whats the use if the sparring grounds isnt used properly? Every day im ruined there because i either want to talk to a friend or was just stopping bye to tell everyone something... and what do you know... im attacked! it happens nearly every day and its very annoying, this is more of a rant because i know there isnt much to improve it. You have probably been seeing me talking about getting murdered all the time since i've gotten back, and there should be a way to get back into the fighting scene without having to constantly rely on tree rits set up for you. There should be a place where the weaker MP5s can gather and do battles at their own level, which would make fights more fun and skill related, instead of just getting murdered in one hit by the stronger MP5s, or hacking at trees all day long. It wouldnt necessarily have to be weak people only, any Mp5 can come if they use weaker creatures so they can be upgraded or something. In order for younglings to learn in this realm, Sparring Grounds need to evolve. Things can’t be served easy on the plate (nor it was ever possible to maintain that fully at Marble Dale Park). Current Sparring Grounds are not maintained by anyone, so I am announcing this, and it is up to you people will you apply these standards. When a staff member is on duty, their purpose is to serve other players. Their main one is to send out a phrase: [b]*speaks firmly* [/b]This is a Dojo (School). Please get permission First before attacking other players. Click on the black/white sign to your right for more info. Depending on the Staff member, either the first part will be in [color="#0000FF"]*Blue*[/color] or they will have the whole phrase in Blue. We always need active, committed players for the dojo staff. We will be recruiting for some time to come. The purpose of dojo staff is to be a visible representative of the dojo. The primary duties of the staff are to explain the dojo and it's rules, handle complaints, PM offenders, and keep spoilers off the live chat.
