dst Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Or give credits based on the WP rating. $5 for each point (meaning automated WP's give $5, 4-point-rated WP's give $20 and 8-point-rated WP's give $40). According to the WP-awarding menu, automated WP's are 1 point. No. WP rating is TOTTALY subjective. That will give the quest creator too much power. It can lead to abuses. You'll give friends higher marks while enemies lower ones. Besides, most of my WPs (and probably for other fossils) for example were given a rating of 1 because they were manually introduced in the system by shoeps who found this as a way to get some of his revenge on me (by giving me a bad rating. ) Quote
No one Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Darn: dst said it first Or give credits based on the WP rating. WP rating has most of the times been subjective. And, just like in your own case, most WP rewarding quests cannot be checked unless there is a big mess on the forum. Why not ask for Mur to give an amount of GC for the WP based on his mood ? that's be a lot more fair. (some sarcasm included) Quote
Rophs Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 Change it to allow them to pick five of the RP items directly from the ship with the WP. Does anybody have an issue with this at all? Kyphis the Bard, Ary Endleg and Sasha Lilias 3 Quote
Sasha Lilias Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 I personally think that having "bundles" of 10-20 RP items available for a WP is the way to go. Wish points and credits are two entirely different things, gained in different ways by supporting the game in different ways. They should stay separate. It has always been said that WP's can't be bought...so why should they be allowed to be sold? It's just makes me sigh... Kyphis the Bard and Ary Endleg 2 Quote
Root Admin Muratus del Mur Posted January 31, 2015 Root Admin Report Posted January 31, 2015 I listened to both views about ... my conclusion is that a pack of credits , if wisely used, are very healthy for a non-paying player and it does not affect their potential to become a paying member later, it actually increases it. Its also true that if there will be too many "free" credits, it won't be very good, in fact such a thing could kill any income because many people will just wait to get the free credits. anyway...the final decision is that a pack...not an unlimited source, is ok, because even if they will try to stick to that pack alone, the shop is deep enough to make them wish for more. 8 credits is way too low i think a total of ... hmm.... x ..TOTAL credits, spread in 2 ishes, one easy and one deep ... what should x be? Rophs Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 The first pack will allow the player to choose three RP items, the second pack will allow the player to choose seven RP items (or could be 4 and 6) Quote
Burns Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 how about x=70? That would be enough to convert 2 wishes into 1 rustgold, 1 reindrach, and 1 joker if i'm not mistaken. If i do happen to be wrong about the number of things you need to buy before the joker comes in, please correct me, it's been a long time since i last saw the full extra features section. Quote
Sasha Lilias Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Or you could think tactically here and given them just below enough to get a rusty, rein and joker. That way they get a taste of the little stuff before getting the really good things, making them either a) use free credits or b) buy a small pack of credits so they can get them. I would say $60 max. $20 and then $40. Ivorak, (Zl-eye-f)-nea and John Constantine 2 1 Quote
