Death Ray VS Ledah

Featured Replies

Around about May 5/6 2026,

Alone at the GoE, besides the uninhabited Guests. Ledah appears with his "shovel" of regrets. And unjustly murders an innocent man, Death Ray. Ledah states, "he tripped on my shovel attacking me, every one saw this." Words that fell on blind eyes and deaf ears. Death Ray never one struck the accused Ledah. Not so much as a sideways word or comment. Not even a ill willed gaze in his way. Logs shall not prove innocents favoring the accused. With limited resources available at hand or in joined efforts of a thriving community, such actions should be held to utmost unruly of individuals. Those of which violate MD code of conduct, rules bond to MD, and general common sense of community.

The requested outcome, before a murder can take place. Is a community vote. Requiring at the minimum of 75% vote for the approval prior to a murder. In the rare case that an immediate murder need to transpire, will be allowed but also reviewed in court of the murderer vs murdered. Also to be requested is the murderer to carry an appropriate amount of marigolds. The murderer should be prepared to bring back the murdered just as freely as they murder.

items may be used as the owner decides. This is what gives them value and power. When you have a knife, you can stab anyone, the knife is not limiting this "ability" itself. What happens after you user/abuse an item, thats an other story.

I don't want to be a judge right now, but my personal opinion on this is that what Ledah did, if so, its absurd. In a community that has no activity due to lack of players, killing eachother just makes tings worse. On the other hand, he is probably bored and had nothing better to do.

Maybe the next minigame item i will implement will be russian roulette
Or maybe i limit all kill items to only work when a minimum online players threshold is met.

But these are things i would prefer not to do just based on the fight between two people, one notorious for annoying anyone he can, and one notorious for using his powerful items without much care lately.

Just to clarify  on "one notorious for annoying anyone he can"  after the whole ordeal with BSR and Ledah and myself, apparently,  and chewett blocking us from each other's messages. I asked to have that reversed after a considerable amount of time passing. And chew agreed. And, I don't see where i had acted in such manners as i previously have, at worst a little friendly banter, but more so acting in a helpful/informative manner. i've have had zero contact zero interactions with Ledah. I respect Ledah by giving him his space and not interacting with him. I let him make the first move towards me, and well... we all see how that went down. And for a fairly active member of MD, I find it quite ridiculous and disrespectful for him to do such a action towards me with out proper reasons or logic. Now I know good and well how to bring myself back to life, simple enough i suppose. But my prior statements stand and it's something time consuming and tedious that I prefer not to undergo. For sure not for a ill tempered powerhouse person with no justification for such actions.

Now I've made my case, which I believe to be the proper way to handle this vs to take acts on my own towards Ledah. The outcome of this isn't in my hands. It's up to the only remaining authority figure here, Mur. And whoever chimes in from the community. And honestly a simple guarantee not to be unjustly murdered would have suffice.

And to add, if we are to have such a powerful murder tool in-game, we should also have the opposite equivalent revive tool of sorts. Keep it balanced and fair.

Thought of a fair point to add.

This seems fair to me.

We are here to keep things civil. And talk things out in a calm and respectful manner. We are adults after all, and are here to enjoy a slice of our childhood.

While they are not readily available. But were given to a select few for (fill in the blank) reasons.  The implementation of these powerful tools are no longer, at least currently needed. I'll also add for possible future incidents the lock in chaos spell. It's quite a hindering, but lesser then Murder tool.

I'm unaware of the balance of the Murder tool. For a left there is a right. For a up there is a down...

The Murder tool shouldn't have implications on accessibility to NC. That would actually be a harder way in and out than going in alive. And leave people that don't know certain thing's stuck. Quite literally. The NC land holds it's secrets, you know what i mean(no spoilers). Insted of Murder which is quite troublesome just have  a gate key for NC. Perhaps the key grants you a few minutes to go in get a mini game and get out before you are bound by the AP limitations and/or if you're not out in time you die. And then it's on the player that they are stuck. Risk vs reward.

I was hoping Ledah would at least bother to reply to this topic, especially that i defended his right to use the tools... but apparently not.
Time for more interesting times ahead. I consider this topic closed and an announcement related to it and kill tools will be posted next.

Hi Mur,

I didn't reply as this seemed to be between you both - but I will, now that I see otherwise.

As a TLDR - this is based on a lie. In addition, the only reason DR posted this was to try and screw me over, plus he loves attention - another reason I didn't reply.

Now, for the dissection...

I don't like DR. I'll be honest about that. It is why my threshold for spending a gold coin on murdering him is so low. What made me do it however was some inane comment in the chat I logged in to about me owing him something. I considered it a violation of the Non-Aggression Pact, and I took it personally. So the bit in bold is obviously not true.

Interesting bit here - I don't seem to recall being asked about the block being removed, but who cares about that But also interesting is how much someone can contradict themselves in so few words. You don't see where you have acted as you previously had, but then after admit that at worst you have - just a bit of friendly banter. But then, you've had zero interactions with me and give me my space - bit of a roller coaster to read, which is it?

I am curious why a mechanic of the game is no longer needed? There are resources that can only be obtained while dead, and scenes that can realistically only be visited whilst dead. Likewise, alliances, peoples in game roles, and indeed an entire land are based in no small part on this mechanic. I am considering whether there is a point in the Caretakers alliance existing now.

Again though, you give away what this is about - you just want to be able to annoy me without consequence, why else would you mention lock in chaos?

I would suggest a rather large balance to killing tools would be - shockingly, revive tools. The fact you were able to revive so quickly also should go some way to showing they are balanced - or perhaps they are too weak, considering how consequential killing apparently is.

In reply to yourself Mur, frankly the killing tools really have no consequence apart from nice global scary text. Especially since your changes when I killed BSR - sorry, Aamon - you can revive quicker than you get killed. To call them powerful tools just isn't true, teleportation spells are more powerful.

I've passed you the A25 tools, as I don't want people to think I abuse powerful items at my disposal, plus I wasn't using them in truth. Life has taken some big turns for me and even the time to make this post was a struggle to find. I would be interested to see DR use them - they seem very keen on being a part of the community and giving back selflessly - a real paragon of virtue.

There are many ways I could still mess with or otherwise interfere with DR if I wanted to, so he has been a bit of a silly sausage with this. Luckily I am not (too) vindictive!
