4. Playing devil's advocate: why ban players who have more than 5 items from the auction? Isn't that also abusive?
5. "This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions. " *cries her eyes out*

Ok. Then I will make the necessary arrangements and today or tomorrow I will post the date and the hour of the contest also the rules. I am thinking Saturday around 12:00 (server time). But I am opened to suggestions since I have no idea when you all are online (or if you can attend the contest).
10. Use this one for offtopic please. We'll keep that one for official announcements regarding the status of the game. What? I scared your posting frenzy? Yes, I know double posting . I will merge them later
That is a good point dst, but it does not hold true to other situations where people know they are have a possibility to die. For instance, the Cold War. The conception rate was at an all time low, and that was a REAL threat.
Except during wars (and I am not talking of the Cold War...i will get back to it after) in periods of depression more children are born. That is a fact. That is the question T asked. And why do you say the birth rate did not increase during the Cold War? It did. I agree: in US after the baby boom period (right after WWII) it had a descendant curve. And the reasons are many. But it was not the case with other countries. We are looking at a global thing not an individual. So don't question the fact (cause this is what you were doing). And I do stick with my opinion: we still have enough animal instincts that govern our lives and make us do, maybe, sometimes irrational things just to preserve the specie. After all..this is the supreme goal, right?
13. Ledah is like a dragon: you cut 1 head, 2 grow instead...
14. So, as a conclusion to Grido's loong post (which i did not read btw): good players cannot exist without DST Now on a more serious tone: "We are tehnicaly capable to do better yet we dont, and its not about survival also". How can you judge better? Who is the one capable of doing that? Aren't we the ones who wrote the set of rules that guide our lives? How do you know a thing is bad? Because you apply the rules, right? How do you know the rules are not bad? You don't! So see? You cannot say that humanity is good or bad. Humanity just is. At least for a while I remember a joke: One day a comet crosses the universe close to earth: -Hi earth! How are you? Long time no see! -Not that good. I got home sapiens... -No worries, my cousin had them...they will disappear eventually...

I think it's more a subconscious thing. When things go bad and you are in a way threaten by extinction -(ok...maybe it's a strong word) but you get what I mean - your subconscious tells you to do everything so the specie will survive. It's an instinct. So you do not realize it. But it's their and it does its job.
16. I propose the following: Everyone who wants to discuss one of the issues has to open a new topic and post here only the question and the link to that thread. It will be easier to manage and to read.
17. Disclaimer: I sent the question in Romanian and I received the answer in the same language. Thus Mur asked me to translate both of the. I tried to keep as much as i could the same words we both use. Mur, in case you find some things that do not fit just edit the post please. There are 2 situations but the question is the same: What will you choose? 1) To survive you need to break one of your most treasured principle (and I mean moral principle) - the supreme principle. On the other hand if you break it everybody around you will see you as a criminal. What will you do? Break the principle and survive or die believing in your principle? And to complicate things a bit: 2) In order that the most important person in your life(child/wife/mother/father/husband etc) to survive ...again...you need to break your supreme principle. If you break it you die and that person is seen like a criminal. What will you choose? Mur's answer: A subjective opinion: It's a matter of survival. If you consider yourself more important than the rest you will do everything to survive. If you see your life as a way to perpetuate yourself (you see the family as more important than you are) and also if you think that you will die sooner than they will then they should live. Selfishness is subjective and the principle you were talking about is more or less strong in every human being and it is influenced by religion, culture, intensity of personal feelings etc but in the end I still think it's a clear survival issue...same as love is something beautiful but necessary only for the survival of the specie.

Nice
23. Hmm...let's see (my personal view on the matter): -I don't agree with the auction (it's probably the form that can be abused the most) -100 consecutive days...that could work. I know there are lot of avis out there that are lost. Also I agree that legendary players should keep their avis but hey! how many players are there? 10? 20? 30? (I stick to 10 so you can adjust that manually for the moment. -I am not saying: put back the avi for free. No! But the amount of credits received should be equal to the one paid (like a refund). Or maybe 1$ more to "reward" the gesture. - Avis as tradable goods? Look at my scenario: I have 10$ and 10 accounts: I buy avis one by one and transfer them to alts (you can't do it easier then this: you almost always have money on your main). Then trade them for whatever I dream during the night So...probably the only 2 ideas that stand are the one with the avis from old characters and the "return to the roots" aka shop (for a symbolic fee).
24. Credits you say? Make that more like credit cause I already see a possible exploit . And probably the shop will be the best idea. Why? Because of this: I am online when you put up the avis. I buy several on different alts then I use them as trading material (unless....you want to turn avis into currency).
